Oh that is a good one.

Let's see, this time of the year it's Christmas Vacation.

The rest of the year Thomas Crown Affair, the one with Pierce Brosnan. A very sexy movie.

I love almost every movie Will Smith is in (except maybe Ali).

Legend looks like it is going to be an awesome movie. Unfortunately one of my friends sort of spoiled the ending for me already by telling me the "twist."

Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, It's A Wonderful Life, Life Is Beautiful, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, This Boy's Life and way WAY more.
I'm a huge movie buff so I can't really pick specific favourites but the ones mentioned above are definitely on the top of my list.

I love good movies, and I will watch the same great film many times.

The other night I watched one of my all-time favorites, "Fight Club", with the commentary turned on and it really shed a different light on a lot of things I missed.

Some favs of mine include: Blade Runner (probably my #1 favorite), Seven, Crimes and Misdemeanors, The Corporation, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Ordinary People, Delicatessen, Goodfellas, American Graffiti, A Clockwork Orange, Boogie Nights, Solaris, The Fisher King, Sideways, Cinema Paradiso, Pi, Requiem for a Dream, Fahrenheit 9/11, Brother's Keeper, Monty Python and the Holy Grail (c'mon, who doesn't?), Syriana, American Beauty and Groundhog Day.

In no particular order, these are my cherished movies.
  1. Fight Club
  2. Godfather (it's all one big beautiful movie, so that counts as one)
  3. Jerry Maguire
  4. Lost in Translation
  5. The Big Lebowski
  6. Rounders
  7. Casablanca
This thread got me thinking about what good movies have come out in 2007. I started another thread with some lists of top 10 movies in 2007. Those lists make me sad.... those movies suck!

Me too Ed! And yes, Fight Club is a good one to watch over and over.

I've always said the second viewing is when a movie really shines. That's when I catch the cool subtleties that really adds to the movie.

Of course, not many movies deserve a second watch. In fact, most movies I watch these days aren't worth the first viewing. Bleh.

It was ok, I don't think it was his greatest performance, but I went to the movies to support my favorite actor I suppose. If you've seen Dawn of the Dead (1968), its nothing different then 'I Am Legend' besides some twists here and there....which sums up the point that nothing can truly be original anymore. But I still have my MIB, Bad Boys, and Pursuit of Happyness...boy do I enjoy watching Will Smith Classics.

I think Fresh Prince is a seriously underrated TV series.
