Default Favorite Tv Show Of All Time?

With all the reality tv shows on the air today, it really makes me miss great tv shows like Seinfeld, Roseanne, The Cosby Show and Frasier! What is your favorite tv show (comedy or drama) of all time? Mine is 'Cheers' and 'Roseanne'!

Firefly, I was never a real Whedon fan although I had watched Buffy and Angel, but I love this show. I never saw it on TV though, I don't think it aired on UK TV ever, but I have re-watched the series many times. I also have been watching a few old Frasier episodes recently, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Recently only House and Bones have captured my attention, I don't actually have a TV though so my exposure to new shows is very limited!!

The X-Files. After the series ended, I stopped watching TV because there wasn't anything else worth watching.

Wow, I forgot about X-Files. That was good. Since they took off The Pretender and The Profiler I haven't had much t.v. But now I am addicted to Lost on dvd. I need help.

The Wire's my favourite show that's still running. Season 1-4 are on DVD, so if you haven't seen it yet, see it!

Seinfeld, Frasier, Simpsons, Sopranos are some of my fav 'old' shows.

I'm going to have to do catchup on Lost. I've only seen like half of Season 1 lol!

My sister and I loved the X-Files and we watched it religiously. But we stopped getting cable during season 9, I think, so we're still waiting to see the rest of it. I'd love to get the whole series on DVD if the price ever goes down.

Another show I liked a lot was Growing Pains. I know it's dorky, but it's just so funny. I recently discovered that you can watch some of the episodes for free on aol video and I love to do that sometimes and have lunch at the computer.

I don't know about my all-time favorite show, but I can do a top-five...in no particular order.
Those would be:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
MASH
West Wing - Especially the first four years
and, a three way tie for the last two slots...Sports Night (first season), Firefly (less than a full season) and Veronica Mars (only had three seasons)

Honorable mention goes to the new Battlestar Galactica and depends on how the show ends.

Get Smart was one of my favs (would you believe? it was thiiiiiiiiiiis close) -- I loved Star Trek as a kid and Wild Wild West. Seinfeld and Cheers were shows I rarely missed.

SNL
E.R., which I haven't watched much in the past 4 years so so, it has no doubt "gone downhill" and I probably wouldn't recognize many of the cast members any more! But man, the first 5 seasons or so were golden.
