I don't know where but it set the time for Oct, 18th at 1pm which is a sunday. That can be adjusted.
The event doesn't really end untill the pumpkins are composted properly and something like food for foodbanks is growing with the remains of the pumpkin compost mix. Craigslist online form won't allow you to post events that are more than 14 days.

I had an idea which I posted on craigslist a while back which would be to buy some pumpkin carving tool kits (dremel tools and exacto knives) and the materials for putting superbright battery powered LED kits inside the pumpkins with nice patterns from the web (I like the alien face) and then a few people sit around listening to or watching edutainment like iTunesU lectures or stuff from earthcinemacircle. on a projector; and the pumpkins can be preorderd online through the meetup and then the profits are donated to a charity, perhaps the people that do the carving can vote on which charities the money is split up between and the grocery store's could let us do the work in front of the store to increase sales and facilitate the pickup of pumpkin orders. Or the profits could be put into a bank account for the people who buy the pumpkins to choose which of the 5 or 7 business service Ideas I have, has the best effect, (using national broadband plan data to select the target areas to teach retired and disabled people skills with online tutoring volunteer services for middle through college school students, thereby increasing the communications of older and disabled people as well as supporting economic growth by the more effective utilization of individual teaching and coaching for students in global crisis mission critical labor pool areas like helping poverty parents get organized and have free'd time to get education with shared tools library (books + online) while the retired volunteer with wireless camera internet uplink DVR storage, which the cameras can be moved to each new 12 to 48 hour babysitting service location.)??? Whichever the customers think is best...

Also I am looking for super secret spy locations where I can camp while building greenhouse / gazebo / container gardening setups, et cetera, while I save the money which I would have spent on rent or mortgage; and then invest that in tools for running a super non-profit with totally open book goals and finances viewable by all public, and all investors have a 45 percent vote on what projects I work on with descriptions of my socioeconomic intellectual throughput (what are my realistic capabilities)

PS. We need to make arrangement to borrow a woodchipper (with no screen) and have drop off locations where the pumpkins can be ground (grind / chopped) up for composting. If anyone wants to get together on a setup for some rotating composters which we could get leaves from the municipal dump and figure out if its worth trying on a smaller few person scale... I don't know if worm composting will allow for killing off the worm eggs with solar ovens... Just some ideas that sort of go along with the (paganistic earth universe holiday) Going green anyone? The new book Plan B 4.0 is out anyone want to split up the cost of the book and use a good sheetfed scanner to make a PDF copy which everyone can then download as the whole book?

Post squarefoot gardening ad: neighborhood (college campus?) shared electric lawnmowers on rotating schedule, indoor clothes lines or folding drying racks (college dorm hallway cameras), cheapest rotating composters, timesaving yard modifications, container gardening food growing which saves money or makes profits with easy maintenance as well as being a fresh clean food option for canning which can be a good social activity for family's while listening to inspirational audio or video like earth cinema dot com, water and energy conservation saves money which you can plan investments with. or rent unused yard space to homeless people who can grow food and camp with an ice chest and smallish ice maker while they build a garden roof (solar panels) gazebo or workspace shelter with modular walls for mobility of the structure to more climate or technology hospitable environment. post and beam folds up and reassembles in new area once community sustainability is established.
