There's nothing wrong with grown-ups enjoying Harry Potter; in fact, adults can enjoy these books more than many children who simply read for plot. We can appreciate the writing, nuances, atmosphere and characters more fully than children.

In my opinion, a lot of children's literature can and should be read by more adults. The Lemony Snicket books are another good example.

So on to my guilty pleasures:

McDonald's French Fries
Burger King French Fries
Jack-in-the-Box Curly Fries
KFC Potato Wedges
Jack-in-the-Box Cheesy, Bacon Potato Wedges (I don't know if they even have those anymore but they sure are/were good)

Jess, I think we could be great friends. My friends mock my SB romance novels, but everyone needs a little escape.

My other guilty pleasure is probably sci-fi. Though that's becoming much less guilty, thanks to the popularity of things like Battlestar Galactica and Heroes.

Food in general and I love it in every shape, size, and quantity, much to the dismay of my waistline. I even got into canning so I could prepare food and not eat it. Didn't work.

Playing online video games... that kills me. It consumes a valuable time of my life, but can't stop it. My girlfriend already wants to destroy the cd's.

I watch way too many Law & Order re-runs as well as the (how embarassing) cheesy Lifetime movies over and over and over again.

I can literally spend a whole day watching these shows.

Also the internet is definitely a guilty pleasure. It's amazing how much time goes by when I am online.

Iced coffees. I swear, they put nicotene in them.

I can't believe that I'm admitting this in public, but here goes. Romance novels, especially the first three books from the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn. I read them whenever I need a pick me up.

Or HaagenDazs ice cream. But I think I enjoy it too much to feel guilty about it!
