Question has anyone ever sold Avon or Mark cosmetics?

I was curious is anyone here has ever sold avon or mark cosmetics before, and if so, was it worth it? i'm looking for something flexible to make more money on the side, i'm already working about 50 hours a week so something i can do on my own time would be best. thanks!

I have never had the experience. So far, so good...lol

Is it worth it? Well, I can tell you that if you ring my doorbell during the day...it is not.

Are you a great salesperson Jonelle? If not, then Avon will be a waste of money. I was in Amway a long time ago, and definitely you must be great at sales to make any serious money. They might tell stuff like "this stuff sell themselves" or "just share them with your friends and family."

That is not enough. You have to be constantly talking with strangers and selling them not only Amway, but the "Amway Dream" (whatever that is).

On the other hand, if you ARE a great salesperson, perhaps you will make even more money doing other types of commission-based sales jobs. People great a sales always land on their feet. Good luck!

My wife tried to sell Avon before we got married. She only sold some stuff to my mom and bought some for herself. It wasn't really worth it for us, but I imagine if you get a good network of people then you could make it worth your time.

The bigger your entire family is, the more successful you are, lol.

Actually, one of the best products they sell is "Skin-so-Soft". Can't tell you anything about the effect on skin, but I can testify to it's effectiveness in keeping bugs out of the house if you spray it on all of your screens!!!

Unfortunately, the multi-level marketing to new recruits ,,er, ah I mean home-based sales/marketing business is another struggling sector of commerce that is being squeezed into the obituary scapbook shared by hobby stores, newspapers, movie theaters, libraries, and all of those other sales models that involved those annoying face-to-face interactions with real live people or worse yet, that old-fashioned "physical activity." You never have to exercise, form real relationships, or any of that "human stuff" anymore. Computers and the Internet, isn't it great!

Just think, before you know it, all we will need is a Wal-Mart and a laptop to carry on. And, maybe a wheelchair to haul our atrophied bodies to Wal-Mart...lol...er, I mean...boo-hoo...

The scary part is that this is probably not going to be a joke in the near future. The opportunities for employment are dwindling along with our spirits. Creativity is in short supply, and so is the money for mortgage payments. We all can't survive on car crash settlements from ambulance chasers forever, now can we??

yikes, where's my "flu"-shot, help...

Is it going to be door to door sales? If so, don't even bother. If somebody comes to my door offering me free money, I won't even take that. I dont' think anybody these days want people knocking on their doors. Just a heads up.
