TRAVEL. My fiance lives in Chicago, I live in Ohio, so until I move there later this year, I will be traveling to see him. In addition, most of my best friends are scattered all over the country. I hope to get to see some of them this year, and visit new places. Last year, I got to go to San Jose, San Francisco, Chicago (of course), New York City, and Atlanta. Most of those trips were gifts.

Military modelling. I know it does not sound like the hobby one would expect here, but I really enjoy building models. Also all the research involved, reading history books about those vehicles. Yep, that's my hobby.

I take part in Postcrossing: Postcrossing - The Postcard Exchange Project

It's an international postcard exchange where the website picks random users from other countries for you to send cards to and receive cards from. Granted you'll trade with lots of Finnish Postcrossers because that's where a large chunk of Postcrossing members live but keep doing it and you'll get quite a good collection of postcards from all over the world.

a good hobby I think is to collect old postcards of your city or the place where you live; it is so kind to see how it looked like before 100 years.

I'm mostly just into bumming around the internet and making money.

My hobbies:

Music - playing the piano, singing, composing, learning the violin and listening.

Reading - Classic children's & YA lit, as well as chick lit, historical/religious thrillers. I love browsing the library.

Languages - I enjoy learning new languages (my favorite is German, currently learning Italian), studying word origins and similarities between different languages.

Euro Strategy Games - like Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, etc.

Blogging & web design - I'm still an amateur but enjoy tinkering with my sites.

Yarn - I like knitting socks and crocheting little amigurumi dolls for people. I made a bunch of very silly ones for my boyfriend recently:



Weapons - I enjoy collecting and shooting guns, and have been collecting knives and swords for nearly twenty years now. When people call me cheap I explain that I have to save my money to buy more ammunition.

Music - I enjoy singing, play the trumpet and piano, and have been a performing taiko drummer for the last several years.

Artsy crap - doodling, sketching, etc.. I occasionally dabble in jewelry-making and leatherwork as well.

For me, I like to play video games and surf the net about what's new. I also like to check out blogs and see if there are any new topics and interesting articles. I also like to watch and play sports, specifically basketball with my friends.
