I always have more than 7, and more often than not I'm in double figures... I like to think I'm seriously multitasking but I just know if I bookmark something for later I'll forget about it!

Same here. I have only 3 open right now, which is unusually low for me. I love the Firefox "Save and Quit" feature when you close FF when you have multiple tabs open. I've "Saved and Quit" the same tabs for many days in the row.

I get a lot of tabs open when I'm reading my RSS feed. When I'm actually working, I tend to have 10 or so tabs open (I try to keep it so they all fit on the screen), because my work (technical translator) involves a lot of on-line research on dictionaries, term databases, and other searches for terminology.
