Reputation: | I have a first generation iPod Touch. I use it every single day. One of the best purchases that I have ever made. I love it for the internet, for the games, for the music. Any time I am looking for entertainment in my pocket, I pick my iPod.

Reputation: | I have an iPhone and I love it. From my understanding for the most part the iPod Touch is the same as the iPhone only without the phone, camera, and gps. iPhone apps make it awesome along with being an MP3 player. I have heard that you can use it as a Skype phone if you are connected to the Internet. Safari browser rocks as well. Personally I would go for an iPhone, with as cheap as they are getting, except for the 2 year commitment and the crappy service of AT&T. But at least, AT&T is trying to improve their service.

Reputation: | I have an iPod touch. It was a birthday present, since $400 is waaaaay more than I would usually spend on myself. Gotta say, I love it. It is incredibly handy at work, where our computers can't be connected to the internet. Plus, I travel by plane across country a lot, and having movies and TV shows to watch makes it much better (I'm looking at you, 8AM to 8PM flight on Friday). The only thing I don't like is I can't take it to the gym. Hopefully my little Sansa continues to hold out. |

I understand that it's kinda big and bulky compared to many of the smaller MP3/video players. But, with a case and a belt clip, I use my Ipod Photo (roughly the size of the current iPod Classic, but with a smaller screen) regularly at the gym. I do have to move it around a little bit, dependent on what exercises I'm doing (at my hip for exercises done while laying, crunches, etc and nearer to the front for things like curls), but that's not a huge issue. And, if I was willing to go with an arm band, like many people use, that would not be an issue. If you want to take your Touch to the gym, there are probably cases that you could purchase to make that feasible. | |

Reputation: | I love my iPhone. I'm a bus commuter, so having Google Maps available everywhere is a huge plus if I happen to get lost or miss my connection. I'm never without at least part of my music collection. I can always find out which happy hours are going on nearby. And those damned Kindle and Stanza apps are going to be the death of me -- reading a book in bed with the lights out?? Genius!! Not to mention that being able to watch Metalocalypse episodes/read blogs/play Fantastic Contraption or Katamari Damacy on my phone makes bus rides seem SO much shorter. They have Skype and Mint and a bunch of more serious apps on it too. |
