Default Keyboard error

I'm having a problem with one of my computers. When I boot up I get the a message "Keyboard error or no keyboard present" The keyboard works on the set-up screens and in the DOS mode, but will not work in Windows. I've reinstalled windows with no luck. I can't complete the installation without a working keyboard. I've used different keyboards and triple checked the connections. I'm stumped, anyone have any ideas?

Here this might help :0)

Also, I don't know if you are aware but if you search for the exact error code you'll likely find the result in google.

In this case 'Keyboard error or no keyboard present'.

Sounds like a driver issue or possibly a connection issue. Plugs can break or short. Try cleaning the contacts with some rubbing alcohol. Turn off the compuer first though.

u might have a defect cable for the keyboard.. next time you will have problems with the hardware detection, reinstalling windows is not the immediate solution. try to plug while booting the computer. it's auto-detect. Or your might buy another keyboard.. wont cost you that much.
