Reputation: | Wow. C-Bynum PF-Gasol SF-Odom SG-Kobe PG-Fisher Arguably the Lakers and Celtics now have the best starting 5 in the league. I would love to see a revival of the old rivalry. I thought Jerry West (is he still at Memphis?) had lost his mind, but this article makes a good case for the trade from Memphis' point of view: Quote:

Reputation: | The Grizzles (there is no 'i' in grizzle) are freeing up cap room it would seem. They also sent stromile swift to the nets for jason Collins (??). I'm not much of an NBA fan, but this is the only logical explanation I can come up with for the two trades. Jerry West is no longer in Memphis. There is a pretty good discussion of the trades here: http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=277730 Last edited by 72Tiger : 02-01-2008 at 06:05 PM. |

I haven't caught a Laker game yet since the trade. I can't wait to see the new line up in action! | |

Reputation: | Yes, but Shaq doesn't seem like the ideal fit for the Suns run and gun offense. I'm sure they'll find a way to work him into the system though. It'll be interesting to see how that trade works out. |
