Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was the last movie I saw.

It was entertaining, funny, and witty. As a movie, it was enjoyable. However, in comparison to the book I was expecting much better. In most cases it did not follow the book well at all and many parts were left out. Overall I left the theatre disappointed, but did not feel like I had wasted my money.

So, does anyone have any new release movie recommendations?

One of my favorite things about summer is the movie selection. My two favorite this summer are:

The Hurt Locker
Moon

I don't want to give too much of a review because I went into each of these movies having no idea what they were about. Trust me, they're good. The Hurt Locker is probably one of the best war movies made in the past 5+ years, and Sam Rockwell in Moon is phenomenal.

Both of these are perfect if you're looking for something other than the basic mindless summer movie (i'm looking at you, G.I. Joe).

Has anybody else seen either of these?

Default Milk

The last movie I watched was the biographical drama on Harvey Milk, who was played by Sean Penn.
The story was amazingly inspiring and encouraging, but also sad and frustrating. It is hard to believe decades later this country has still not resolved the bigotry and hatred against the gay community.
