I've been a Windows PC user for a long time, although I did also have a Linux PC for a number of years. However, I also do have some mobile devices that aren't Windows or Mac. My cell phone runs J2ME software. I also have a Nokia 770 tablet, which is Linux-based.

My reason for sticking to a PC may be a bit weird, but here it goes... I think Macs are a little too easy. Like, it does everything for you, so when something goes horribly wrong, it's extremely difficult to fix on your own. All of my Apple friends go insane when their computers freak out because they have to take them back to the store. I, on the other hand, have been able to solve all of my problems on my own.

I'm probably not making any sense, but this seems to be the way it's working with me being the only PC among the Apple people around me.

Plus, so much of the Internet is not Mac-friendly yet. Like, what's up with Netflix only allowing PC viewers to stream movies online?

I share your sentiments exactly! I think Macs are nice, but they try to be a little too user friendly for my tastes. When simple things go wrong with them, they are much harder to fix than it should be. I'll give the example of a disc not ejecting from the dvd drive on my fiancee's Macbook. There's no eject button, and there was no way to drag the disc to the trash to eject since the disc just never mounted. I had to look up some instructions on the internet on some key combination to hold down while rebooting the Mac just to eject a disc.

I hear you. PC users represent!

my hubby and I are windows PC users because
a) PCs are cheaper and are customizable
b) a lot of good computer games are not available on the Mac.
Though I am pretty comfortable with using Linux/unix, too.

I use a PC everyday at work. However, I purchase a Mac about a year ago and I love it. It never crashes, and has several cool features. I just love it. Another thing — when it comes to viruses, the PC is more at risk. I just love my Macbook.

I like Macs, but they're expensive. My fiance got one in late 2006 and it's been back to the shop twice or three times already. For the price, I'd think it should be more reliable! Still, he loves it and swears by it, and I'd love one someday.

But for now, I use Windows simply because financially, it makes more sense.

I use a PC (Dell) because it was affordable. I would like to get a Mac someday when I can afford one, but for now, I'm content with the PC. Though because Windows is so unstable, my cousin who works in computer networking has introduced me to Linux and he sent me a Linux boot CD so I can boot into Linux when something goes wrong with Windows. We have an online business and depend on the computer for everything; a few months ago, our Windows broke after installing an update and I was able to get online using Linux and find out how to repair our Windows. Next time he visits, he's going to set my computer up for dual boot and file system sharing so I can access all my Windows files from Linux.

Default PC vs Mac

I've always been a PC user, have never had any problems, but will probably buy a Mac next time. I've done some research and for what I'll use it for, the Mac just seems better, easier to use, more bells and whistles, etc. It is expensive, so I'll probably get a refurbished one to reduce the cost a bit.
