I've been frugal for a long time, long before it became popular. My husband and I both work 3/4-time at our professional jobs so we have more time with our three boys. I do a lot of cooking from scratch, partly because it tastes good, partly because it's fun, partly because it's cheaper. We put 20+% of our income into savings (emergency, retirement, college).

I found Wise Bread through Public Radio. Sometime last week, this website was mentioned on one of the Marketplace shows (can't remember if it was Marketplace or Marketplace Money). I jotted myself a note so I could come here.

Found when I "Googled" frugal forums. Simple as that.
We, also, have been frugal for a very long time. I stash away what I save from using coupons, not using gasoline (bicycle or walk), and making my own lattes.
Then got into doing line drying of laundry, preplanning leftovers from meals, case lot sales, etc. Making my own tote bags, you name it.
Recently remodeled a basement bedroom into a large pantry. Put in slanted shelving so jars/cans would slide down. Date every item (year/month bought), and put the newest in the back. Also have two large freezers, Got one on Craigs list, also a generator for if/when the power goes out. As it does in my part of planet Earth. I think we are on the very fine line between frugal and survivalist.
Sold two vehicles and bought an economical one which can tow a utlity trailer (how I haul motorcycles and the case lots).
Thus far, like what I have found here.
