The "Say HI!" thread: How did you find Wise Bread?

Found it in the local paper today. Big artical about the person in the Champaign/Urbana News Gazette. I was happy to see it and join. Not to good at getting around it yet but think I will spend lot of time in it.

I am one of the lucky ones. Early retirement. Now having fun. Lots of travel. reading, fishing. For pets I have only one parrot at this time. Use to breed them few years back. Hope maybe will find a forum in here with Bird People. I do spend a lot more time on the computer and hope I become a little smarter on it. Have lots to learn.

Hi, my name is Lauren. I have just registered and this is my first post. I found this site when I was Googling for frugal craft ideas. Im from Western Australia. I work with physically and intellectually disabled people, which I love but unfortunately isnt so well paid. Im doing a part time college course at the moment which will end with me being able to earn more but its a way off. At the moment I am off work due to an injury..... and for the next two weeks I won't be getting paid anything at all...... hence my search for frugal crafts...... Im bored out of my mind sitting around the house. The doctor wont declare me fit for work for another two weeks, but I can do pretty much anything that doesnt lifting heavy things with my right hand. Im looking forward to getting to know people who think similarly to the way I do.......my real life best friend likes to spend up big, and just doesnt get it.

I found wise bread a little over a year ago, I think it was linked to from another PF Blog I was reading while getting my own off the ground. I really enjoy the multitude of writers, whereas all other blogs (including mine) just have basically one voice.
