Hi guys and gals! I'm PlantGeek. I've read wisebread for about a month and I'm so happy to have found a place that mixes frugality and self improvement. I'm always looking for ways to save a buck. My hubby and I are saving for a house so we're in the middle of an interesting and scary journey!

Thanks to the posters and the bloggers for their interesting ideas and commentary!

Hi everybody! I've been reading Wisebread and lurking around its comments for about a year now - I love that I've learned so much from the site! I'm really looking forward to everyone's thoughts and tips in the forum.

Hi! What great forums, so many useful ideas and suggestions.

A little about me, I'm from New Zealand (well not strictly speaking because I'm a pommy who's lived in NZ for 10 years now). I'm a full time mature student so money is always tight. Two more years to go of my 4 year degree in photography and loving it!

It's summer here at the moment so I'm enjoying the weather and getting out and about.

I'm looking forward to posting and reading more, thanks for this great community :0)

I'm Joanne, wife to one, mom to three. We've lived in Florida for the past few years, but are originally from NYC (born and raised in Brooklyn). Looks like a great group of people here!

Hi y'all!

I'm Kim. I'm an Environmental Microbiologist in SE Texas. I have 2 totally wonderful daughters, 15 and 20. I've been divorced 5 years and will be getting married within the next month or so (yea!)

I made all the typical mistakes after my divorce and have had to take some drastic measures to pull myself out, but I'm working on it.

I can't add much to the TV theme here, I just started watching a little bit again (besides football and baseball of course).

Poker? Heck yeah! (i didn't know if we can say HE** here) My fiance and I used to play online all the time, but then he moved in so we will have to dig the cards out now. I've played poker and all kinds of cards with my family my whole life, we love it.

Anyway, I really enjoy Wisebread and discussion forums in general, so I'm looking forward to alot of good stuff here

I have managed forums before and I know how much work they are, so I really appreciate the effort y'all put into this one. Thanks!

I'm a copy editor for Zaner-Bloser Educational Publishers (if you're a teacher, you have probably heard about our handwriting program), a single mom to the best five-year old boy in the world, and an aspiring YA author.
