Anyway, I also came here via Zen Habits and I came here to win $20 but if that doesn't happen I certainly got more than my moneys worth *grin*in good advice by a warm group of people. I'm a late 40's divorced woman, no children, I work from home as a freight broker. I have been financially responsible and have lived modestly for the last decade after a rough time with student loans when I was younger. I have just recently been struggling again after loosing a job and am trying to be more proactive so I dont repeat past mistakes.

Wow, I'm older than dirt, but where have I been? If i'd have found this site sooner I might indeed already be living larger on a smaller budget. I'm Kym, from Melbourne, Australia (where it's way too hot right now!) At the moment I'm a technical writer, but someday I want to return to education. I used to teach programming, but lack of student interest meant the uni department got rid of 2/3 of their IT staff.

I'm discovering a new passion for languages, trying to garden organically, and dreaming of reviving my interest in a range of musical instruments. I love learning anything, dabble in all kinds of hobbies, have two adorable cats and enjoy living on the eastern outskirts of town. This year I want to focus on being more frugal and organised with all my resources (time, energy and money).
