Tips for cleaning silver jewelry at home

I have silver bracelet and I want to clean it; can someone suggest home remedial tips for cleaning silver jewelry.

Add a couple tablespoons of cream of tartar and a few strips of aluminum foil to a pan of water. Let it soak for about an hour or until the tarnish is completely gone.

Keep silver away from rubber. Don't put flowers in silver vases, they release an acid that etches silver (forever)
