I know the price of gas is awful, going up at an alarming rate -- but, well I saw something that really made me think, it was a sign on one of my bus stops which read:
250'000 baby seals will be killed
this year in Canada, and gas
prices have risen 3 cents.

Get angry for the right reasons.

And you know, that really got me. I guess that's probably because I'm one of the transit folk, or the girl who will get up two hours earlier just so I can walk, or take my bike ... either way.

Most paid: $2.10 / L
The good ol' days: 67c / L

I was in Vegas last week as I go every year for the basketball tournament and was shocked it was only like 3.30. Here in Chicago it is up to 3.69. Here it is just as high as anywhere else in the country. Four dollars will be here soon! Thankfully I commute 15 seconds from my bedroom to my office!

There was a statistic today on the news that said by driving over 60 mph is like adding an additional 59 cents to the cost of a gallon of gasoline. I am not sure how true it is, but just thought I would share.

Right, transpating from L to Gallons -- about 3.785 liters
to a gallon, and the Canadian dollar is about equal-enough to the US dollar right now, so!

Most paid: $7.96 per Gallon.

...shit. Why can't Vancouver have decent gas prices! It usually takes $150 + to fill up our truck from empty.

Current high price: $1.24 per liter / $4.69 per gallon.

Yes, I did read a similar article, I think it was on Yahoo or CNN. I got bored when they were describing the dynamics of car using more gas while driving in high mileage.
The only thing I got out of that article was "Don't drive too fast, stay on speed limit." You bet that's a hard thing for a young driver like me.

The highest I paid for my gas was $3.19 each gallon. Right now, it is $3.29. Since I commute, soon my wallet will get lighter once more. Well, not really since I usually pay my gas with credit card.

I heard that today many truckers are protesting the high price of diesel by either striking or by driving really slow to clog up traffic.

Although I think that this effort might be more effective if they didn't do both--only one.

But whatever!

i have paid up to 3.75 for gas, and it can run me $80 to fill up my tank. but hey i will always drive a SUV. But since the early 90s when gas was like $1gal i think were on track with prices. the problem is people arent making anymore money than they were back in the day. Anyhow thats just my opinion.

I paid $3.09 the weekend before but $3.01 this weekend. So prices went down a bit.
