Default Control Top Pantyhose to strapless bra?

I don't know if anyone has ever done this before, but the idea comes from many years of dance classes. When we had to wear costumes with no straps, we would just cut the top off a pair of tights that had runs/holes in them and use it as a flesh-tone tube-top style strapless bra.

I think using the control top part of some old pantyhose would take this one step further and really "hold you in" (and up hehe).

I love how multifunctional pantyhose are, though actually wearing them is my least favorite function of all!

Hmmm... this is really funny but it actually could work! I think you may have to adjust it for bust size, and possibly twist it in the center so that you don't get the dreaded uni-boob look. I have a TON of old, torn control-top pantyhose, so I'm going to try this. If it works, I'll blog about it on my craft blog and post a link here

The only use I find these days for pantyhose is to buy the cheap ones and cut them up. We use the portions to hold media for our aquarium filter system.

Ahem. I'm wondering what chest size you're thinking of here. I think the only way my girls would stay up with this method would be if I used four control tops on top of each other.

Very true. I don't think this would work past about a B size. I buy bras based on their PSI rating.

You all are so funny. I was in the store trying on one of those Sassybax bras and I said to the salesperson, "Do people really wear these alone?"

She replied, "Not people like us, honey." Well, that about sums it up.

lol, I was thinking that same thing. My niece will love this idea, but for me its but a dream. On a good day (and a generous sized bra) I'm only a D. They don't make control tops strong enough.

I'm pretty much in the middle...I think all strapless bras are pretty awful if you have anything that actually needs to be held up. Darn gravity! I'm kinda dreading wearing the same strapless bridesmaid's dress 2 times this spring.

in the case of the well-endowed, i think some taping would need to be involved hehe. or a really small size of pantyhose.... which you probably wouldn't just have lying around.
