| Senior Member | I mute commercials when they are ones that I find particularly annoying. The one for the Verizon where there are carolers singing to some kid.... it drives me nuts. |

Reputation: | ugh, I have too many annoying commercials to mention. On the other end of the spectrum there is a BCBS of MN commercial up here that has a dorky old guy dancing and I laugh EVERY time I see it. For some reason this must irritate my husband, because he will look at me as I am cracking up with tears in my eyes and say, "Really? It's that funny? Hm." This happens so often that I can't count. |

Reputation: | You know the "We Wish you a Red Hot Deal Day" one? That one gets muted. I get enough christmas caroling in October, November and December thank you. |

Reputation: | The worse for me (Vancouver) is the TV listing channel. The commercials are noisy and take up 2/3 of the screen. It's difficult to concentrate on the listed programs. I wrote a complaint letter about this once and got a typical fluffy reply - it's an industry accepted format. |

| Senior Member | Yep! That's the one I'm talking about! It's awful. And Honda already used that idea (but in the right season). They did "We wish you a happy honda days" or something. It wasn't cool then either. |

Reputation: | I guess I'm the opposite. I don't have a TV but I often look up adverts online that I have heard about. I love a good advert- Volkswagon and Sony are often good for this, of course I don't own any of their products so I'm guessing it's a fail from an advertising perspective! European and Australian ads are generally much better than North American though- I think they can get away with more! |
