Ebay could work well but you will have to put some time into creating a very detailed listing with many pictures. Ebay now has 30 day listings which will give you a longer exposure period. My suggestion is go to a pawn shop, see how much they will give you, then price your items a little bit above to make a little extra change. Be sure to take into consideration ebay and paypal fees!

First stop would be to get it appraised, ideally by several people. From there you'll have a better idea of what to ask.

The only responses I get are from people who cannot write a correct sentence telling me to give them all my info and they will send me a shipping container...umm NO! I finally went to a pawn shop just to see what they would offer (I've never been in one before so I had no idea)..he offered $90 for both! It's a 1/2 carat solitaire and a men's 14K gold nugget band. I really want to get rid of these and I just have no idea how to do it.. Any ideas?

Have you posted a notice on college campus bulletin boards? (esp... Fraternity houses). The campus coin laundry, Planned Parenthood, counseling centers, rec centers and Catholic Church?

I know, I know...it's a depressing path to consider. But the goal is to sell your jewelry, right?

Or you can place a "garage sale" ad in your paper which includes jewelry. Make sure you highlight "no early-birds" before the Sat 7:30am start time.

You will have it sold before 7am to one of the resellers, small retail owners, and other "pros" that always beat down your door an hour before the "starting time"...lol. After they leave, you post a sign on your garage door that reads: " Sorry, Garage Sale Cancelled (family emergency)"

Let the dog back in, lock all the doors and gates, close the blinds. It is probably only about 6:45am by then. Hey you should not be up that early on a Saturday! Go back to bed!
