Reputation: | I just need to send maybe 2 or 3 faxes (and receive the same) a month. I need to send *and* receive so eFax's free account isn't good enough. Can't send by email. I'm thinking of getting the $16.95 "Plus" account. Do you guys think it's worth it? Seems expensive for a small plan. This is for a side business so I can't have ads on the faxes. Thanks |

Reputation: | I use TrustFax. It's cheap and works fine. For these fax services, you'll still need a scanner, and if you don't have one, an MFP may be a better solution. You can sometimes find one for $50 at Staples. |

Reputation: | I don't like e-fax. Plus, they still send me junk e-mail! I ended up just getting a very basic old fax machine off Craigslist and I plug it in when I need to send. |

Reputation: | I still have an old fax that I use when someone just has to send me a fax. I hate to replace if b/c it's old technology and I'm hate to spend money on old technology but the outgoing faxes don't read well. I did discover that I have a cool fax feature on my PC that I can select instead of printing; it works great as long as I figure out which phone wire to replace/plug in. I may be able to set it up to receive a fax but I have never tried. |

Reputation: | Box.net is partnering with eFax, allowing you to fax documents you store in your box.net account. Sounds ideal for faxing out your resume or other frequently faxed document for your business. You can sign up for a free account with 1 gig of storage at box.net. Uploads are fast. I've been using it for at least a year to store backups including my resume. |

Reputation: | I use eFax at work. It does the job we need it to do. We use it to only receive faxes from clients.

Reputation: | Randy mentioned MyFax. I've been using this for a few months now, and it's working well for me. I'm on the $10/month plan and have had no problems with it so far. |
