I bookmarked this site a few months ago and went to check it out again today. I've registered, and it offers you tailored fitness plans after asking you a lot of health related questions.

http://www.activesmart.co.nz

I don't know if you can register if you're not from New Zealand but it looks promising so it might be worth a try.

I picked up my treadmill yesterday that I got through freecycle, now I have to get on and do it, lol.

Quotes that I have on my power wall at home to get me motivated to run each morning.

Also, I like tracking it on a calender so I know how many miles I run per week. It feels good to finish a long run and write 8 miles underneath the date. I sometimes run just for the gratification of writing on my training calender.

Remember, even 13 year old girls are training three times per day!

Commit to be fit.

My greatest ideas come from running.

Any workout which does not involve a certain minimum of danger or responsibility does not improve the body, it just wears it out.

Run like hell and get the the agony over with.

The Aborigines living in the Australian Outback have no word for yesterday. No Word for tomorrow. They live for today!

Movement is the medicine for creating change in a person's physical, emotional, and mental states.

Runnersworld.com also has a daily quote that you can receive in your e-mail for motivation.

I am motivated by how good I know I'll feel about myself afterwards... I recently just started exercising again, and it's just a great change in attitude. I had gotten into a rut where I was feeling awful about myself, which in turn made me not feel like getting out and doing anything exercise-wise.

Now that I've started again, I feel a lot better. I really enjoy group exercise classes, so that's what I tend towards, and for fun I am taking belly dancing (it's a surprisingly good workout.. and fun, especially with me being a former ballerina) Most importantly, you need to do something you love!

Default Realize the Incentives

I lost 25 pounds in less than 4 months last year by exercising more and implementing portion control. The three things that kept me motivated were:

1) The improvement I saw in pictures of me (better definition of facial features, and no double chin) and in the mirror, and compliments from friends really gave me a boost and kept me motivated to continue making progress.

2) I love to read, but never had time to sit down and read a book. So, I combined exercise with reading books that I really enjoyed. I typically exercise in the mornings, but at times (e.g., when I was reading the fifth, sixth, and seventh Harry Potter books), I would add another exercise session at night just so I could keep reading. You could probably also do this with favorite television programs (with a DVR/TIVO device).

3) I always play background music with a nice beat to keep up my pace.

4) My elliptical machine has a calorie counter - I record my results on a monthly calendar after each session and try to burn 100 calories per 10 minutes of activity. Sometimes, I try to beat my "best" score.

Hope these help!

My motivation is how good I feel after a good workout. It's hard getting the kids dressed and out the door early in the morning, but when I do get to go it's great.

I would really like to get in better shape and one day possible run a marathon. I found that before I changed my diet to have higher protein and car values, i really was wasting my time in the gym. Now, with a complete lifestyle change, I have motivation throughout everything I do, as all my unhealthy habits are out the window, except for a few treats every now and then!

One of my little ambitions is to run a marathon one day! Now, I can barely run for 10 minutes at a stretch. So I motivate myself to run at least an extra minute each day.

I don't think anything could actually motivate me to excersise. The only reason I do now is because I have to. Unless I've got someone in my face screaming at me to do it, I really don't have any desire to.
