Reputation: | This might already be a thread, but just in case it isn't: I was washing my windows and I remembered a hint that I read somewhere: Wash the inside left to right and the outside up and down (or vice versa) that way when you are done you can tell which side any streaks are on. You should also never wash windows in direct (bright) sunlight because it will leave streaks from the liquid evaporating too fast. Does anyone else know any tricks to share? |

Reputation: | Microfiber cloths. I use those to clean mirrors and no streaks. Probably the other best bit of advice is to try to have surfaces that are easy to clean. Were planning on getting a flat top stove. The amount of time I waste cleaning around and in burners is crazy. |

Reputation: | Save time and money by not washing them? Just kidding. Almost... although I do wash my windows rarely. I find the best cloth to use is a flat (folding) cloth diaper. They're very absorbent (obviously) and are also tough enough to stand up to good scrubbing, which you need if you are only going to wash your windows once a year!
