Default Splitting Costs with Friends (www.tabthat.com)

My friends and I have started a new site and wanted to get some feedback from the PF community. It's a new tool to share expenses amongst friends. My friends and I just released an alpha version, so please give it a try and let me know what you think. You can find it at:

http://www.tabthat.com

The focus is to simplify and make sharing expenses fair (prevent the nice-guy from getting stuck with the bill).

p.s. - might be some bugs, so feel free to let me know about those too.

Thanks.

Arrow You've got competition: www.potsplitter.com also tracks who owes who!

Hi,

Your tool seems nice, but maybe a bit too complicated...

You should have a look at http://www.potsplitter.com , it does the same job as your website (track expenses and know who owes who) but I think it is easier to use (no registration required, less steps needed to setup and use the tool).

Also www.potsplitter.com has a nice feature which finds the optimal solution to make sure everyone gets his money back in as few exchanges as possible...

Thanks Luc. We didn't find that when we were doing our research.

Although I am confident you are designing what will be a helpful tool for it's purpose...

In my experience, the only thing you can confidently count on "splitting up", when you "share" expenses with friends...is your friendship. lol
