Default uses for a tiny jar?

I recently finished a trial-sized .25 oz jar of Burt's Bees hand cream and am trying to figure out some creative uses for it--it's a nice little glass jar with a metal lid:

A couple ideas I have for it are:
  • Very mini tea light candle
  • Very mini spice jar, perhaps for a home grown spice (or perhaps for some saffron if I ever get it since I'd only be able to afford a tiny bit :-P )
  • Reuse as a travel size of hand/face/body lotion or vaseline
  • Mini change jar... I think it could hold a few useful coins
Anbody else have some other ideas for it?

Good ideas, two more:
  1. spare buttons
  2. travel case for pills or aspirin

Do you ever need gifts for young children? Could it be decorated to be a tooth fairy jar? Sounds about the right size to leave a tooth for the tooth fairy and then the tooth fairy could leave a few coins.

We have some tiny jars about the same size as yours from a preserves/jam sample pack someone gave us a few years ago, though my use for them is a little less glamorous: I use them to hold baking soda when I brush my dog's teeth - we brush with baking soda, no chemicals for our precious doggy-woggies.

If you have nieces or nephews, you can collect a few similarly small containers, plus some sort of basket, and make them a birthday or christmas gift. The kiddos like the "real" containers much better than those fake plastic and thin cardboard ones to play store or house.

I have to admit its been ages since I've made a tooth fairy box, but I do have at least a dozen various jars similar to that floating around with no use.

You could play a game with the kids, we used to do this with match boxes but the jars would be fine too. Challenge the kids that whoever fits the most small objects in their jar is the winner. It's surprising what you find when you need to and it keeps them busy for a while :0)
