lol. This made me laugh this morning. Thanks! After I waste a couple of hours on Facebook, I have to go to ZenHabits to find tips on being more productive with the hours I have left!

Gary North is a big influence. His free Reality Check newsletter is great.

Early to Rise is good as well.

Ditto on Google Reader as being a great way to have a centralized reader. I'm also a fan of Lifehacker (the reason I tried Linux, looked into GTD, and all sorts of other stuff). Paperbackswap.com has saved me quite a bit on books, and helped me clear out some old ones. And, I've been much better about avoiding late fees since I kept my local library's site bookmarked :-)

Amazon.com, I can't say that it changed my life, however it help me survive financially for about 2 years during a very long state of being unemployed after 9/11. I sold books I would buy from a thrift store for 10-20 cents each and would resell on Amazon.com. It was pretty profitable however the used book market on Amazon got saturated with people selling books for .01 cent to make .25 cents on shipping. So not really a life changing site, but help me survive financially for close 2 years.

PS - One used book I bought had a $100 bill stuffed inside -- nice profit.

I can't say they've changed my life, but I certainly can say that I am really thankful for the following:

1) Wisebread.com - I have learned so much through the forums, and really appreciate all of the information available here for deal seekers and bloggers alike.

2) Postsecret.com - I love reading other people's secrets (new secrets published every Sunday).

3) Blogger.com and Google in general - they have made the process of starting a blog almost effortless, and the fact that everything works together seamlessly means I can focus on adding content to my blog and let their computers do the grunt work of coding for me.

www.absolutewrite.com

They have a wonderful writer's forum. I started pointing out flaws etc. in scripts (continuity seems to be a talent of mine) and even had people offer to pay me to review their work.

Wow! I can get paid for that???

Then I found work through their marketplace forum. Paid work, and I watch TV for it!

I was a college dropout SAHM, now I'm a published and paid writer with people asking me for my opinions. Whoo-hoo!

Also, I can certainly say that Blogger changed my life. I post 5-7 times a week and thrive on the input of the internet community! I love blogging and it has helped develop my computer, social, and writing skills.

It's not a website, but the newsgroup alt.recovery.clutter was life-changing. The DECLUTTR listserv was also good.
