A resource site for my work that has saved me a million times is thomasnet.com
It is a search engine for anything manufactured

Freecycle.org for giving away stuff and asking for free stuff--within the community you live.

How about sparkpeople.com? I use it to track my food and exercise, not only to lose weight but to see where my diet needs a bit more balance.

I would go with lifehack.org. It lead me to many other productivity and related sites, including this one.

But for me, the site that has really helps me become more prepared, more self-sufficient, and more frugal in general is Backwoods Home magazine. I rely on it a lot for all kinds of info: how to work from home, how to get out of debt, how to raise small meat animals, how to grow food even without a lot of space, how to "green" your home, etc.
