Default What've you been putting off that you're gonna do today!

Hey guys,

As I type this, I am surrounded by a desk that is covered in papers that need sorting, books that need stacking, dvds that should be put away, and little things of junk that should be thrown away.

I've let my desk slip over the holidays, and been meaning to sort it all out for about a week now.

Today I WILL get this all cleaned up! Maybe I should take a picture of it with my digital camera to show you a before and after hehehe...

Figured this could be a fun thread, so what're you gonna do today that you've been putting off?

Looks like I'm going to continue the procrastination. I did get a good start on some New Year's goals like taking a digital photo a day and baking some bread. I baked my second bread-machine-assisted loaf today. The harder to do and more easy to put off thing for me is writing something everyday. But since I've written this reply, I guess it qualifies as writing.

Sit down to watch Mulholland Drive ...we rented it from Blockbuster but haven't watched it yet.

Tomorrow I'm going to do some food shopping which I've been putting off for about a week.

A few things, but most crucially;

- a letter and resume (just the finishing touches, promise!) as a friend is going to set up a meeting for me with his boss for some casual hospitality work.

- complete an assessment for a real estate certificate (six month course, 2 years later I'm still not done!) - I have maybe 15 minutes of work left on this assignment, and only a few more modules left.

In my defence, I got a job in the industry and have been doing the learning hands on...

I desperately need to finish cleaning up my room. I'm usually good about keeping it neat, but right now it looks like a tornado went through. I also need to think about packing soon.

Well my desk is about 90 percent sorted out. Had to rearrange my DVD collection and my books since I received more than expected of each for Christmas.

The papers that needed sorting/filing really is what took most of the time though, and I ended up finding some things I'll have to take care of during the week in with the pile.

Mulholland drive's a good flick. I got a bunch of movies from the Library that i'm going to have to muscle through before I return them on Thursday: Cold Mountain, The Aviator, and Eyes Without a Face (aka Les Yeux Sans Visage cause it's french).

Today I will:

1. Return an essay to my professor that I've procrastined with since last summer.
2. Go to the bank, which I've been putting off for a few weeks now.
3. Call another professor of mine for a short chat.

Gootsy - I'm with ya. Today I will process that stack of statements, bills and other snail mail sitting on my desk.

I agree with Savio. Good thread! Reminds me of Leo's Most Important Task (or MIT) strategy.

Do those tasks early in the day! Good luck with your one day resolutions everyone.

* Put these two boxes of 'stuff' away, they are the last two left that need sorting after a recent reorganisation of my house.
* Email my lecturer re sorting out negotiated studies
* Hoover!, lol

Great idea for a thread :0)
