I spend way too much time. I have heard that using a timer for your internet time really works but I haven't tried it yet!

1. How much time do you spend on the internet each day?

5+ hours. I work online, though, so that makes it a little better. Right?

2. Do you stick to reading just a couple of blogs and one or two forums or do you have dozens you read? (I have 28 blogs in my reader and frequent about 3-4 forums: this number grows daily!)

I have LOADS of blogs on my Reader. I used to frequent a lot more blogs, but now I only have one or two.

3. Have you ever had to put a restriction on the amount of time you spend on the internet?

Yes, but only when I have huge projects or deadlines to meet.

I have been an internet junkie since yahoo.com was still Jerry Yang's personal page on akebono.stanford.edu. My mom actually tried to do some intervention and stop me from using the computer when I was in 5th grade. Now I make my living with computers and she can't stop me.

I decided that perhaps I had an internet problem when I was thinking about going on vacation and oh man, what if my hotel doesn't have internet access?

That said, I like the easy accessibility to information and communication.

The internet is good and bad all at once.

1. How much time do you spend on the internet each day?

Too much

2. Do you stick to reading just a couple of blogs and one or two forums or do you have dozens you read?

I'm right up there with you on # blogs and forums.

3. Have you ever had to put a restriction on the amount of time you spend on the internet?

Yes. Depending on the day I either decide before hand exactly what I am looking for and set a time for finding it, set a timer for "free-surfing" or go hogwild lazy and see where serendipity takes me on days I have nothing better to do (which is rare).

BUT - I never use the net on the weekends OR vacation. SO I don't think I'm an addict lol.

I know I am a completely addicted internet Junkie. I have hundreds of blogs that I read thanks to Google Reader. I listen to about 20-30 podcasts. I twitter all the time. Yeah I have a bad addiction. Luckily most of my work is online as well, at least I can be a little productive while I goof off.

I am a serious junkie, and I need to find a way to stop. I think my kids think I live on the computer. I do try to keep my computer time to when they are at school or in bed, but there is always something else I need to do: balance the checkbook, look up a recipe, respond to an email, etc. Plus I am addicted to the Scrabble Cubes game - I'm terrible, but I love it

1. How much time do you spend on the internet each day?
4-5 Hours, and I enjoy my addiction.
2. Do you stick to reading just a couple of blogs and one or two forums or do you have dozens you read? (I have 28 blogs in my reader and frequent about 3-4 forums: this number grows daily!)
I read three to four a day.

3. Have you ever had to put a restriction on the amount of time you spend on the internet?
Sure, I normally set my egg timer and take a break every fourty minutes. My eyes won't go crossed now.

1. How much time do you spend on the internet each day? Way too much. More on days when both of the kids are in school. That's when I do most of my heavy blog work.

2. Do you stick to reading just a couple of blogs and one or two forums or do you have dozens you read? (I have 28 blogs in my reader and frequent about 3-4 forums: this number grows daily!) I have over 100 feeds in my reader, and I visit 3-4 forums. I'll admit that when I get really busy, I skip the blog reading and forum visits.

3. Have you ever had to put a restriction on the amount of time you spend on the internet? I don't really put a time restriction on, but I do make a list of things to accomplish before I get computer time. And I frequently use the computer as a reward for completing small tasks. Dust. Read email. Fold laundry. Read blogs. LOL
