It's time for me to give back to Wisebread. When I was developing Green Retirement, I sought advice from the Wisebread community, on how I could improve the website and product. I received constructive feedback from Will, Purple, Julie, and others, that I implemented into the site and service.

I am offering everyone on Wisebread a Free Green Retirement Analysis. Find out how much savings you need, when you can retire, and a comparison between Green and traditional retirement planning.

Free Green Retirement Analysis

Each Free Retirement Analysis takes up to 30 minutes to create. Please take a look at the Free Retirement Calculators on the website, to see if they answer your retirement questions, before you request a free analysis.

Also, Green Retirement does not give investment advice, or sell investment products. If you have an investment question please ask the other retirement guy on Wisebread - David Loepper. Green Retirement was developed for the U.S. market, however Canadians and others, can use Green Retirement for planning as well with one very important caveat. The safe withdrawal percentages used for Green Retirement, are based on the U.S. market, and will vary from nation to nation. I haven't had time yet to calculate overseas indexes.

And, the Free Green Retirement Analysis is only an estimate, far greater accuracy can be achieved with a comprehensive retirement plan, it is not recommended that you make any decisions based on the analysis. Finally, take a look at the Green Retirement Blog, lot's of advice, and ranting.

What's up? It's been three weeks since I offered the Free Green Retirement Analysis, and so far, only 1 person from wisebread has taken advantage of the offer. Why?

Are you skeptical? Think it is too good to be true? Nothing in life is FREE? This is probably a scam? What the hell is Green Retirement? Why?

Green Retirement is real. It is a revolutionary new formula and method for calculating retirement savings, that enables people to retire with hundreds of thousands less dollars, and years earlier than is possible with traditional retirement planning. Several years ago, I saw the economic collapse coming, I created Green Retirement to help people who have suffered. I began developing Green Retirement even before the meltdown occurred.

Green Retirement is not a Deepak Chopra, hippy, feel good philosophy, but a cold hard formula. The reason it is "Green", is because it encourages you to live a low consumption or green lifestyle, to allow you to retire early.

When I posted this offer, I was afraid that so many people were going to request the Free Green Retirement Analysis, I would have to stop the offer. Each Free Retirement analysis takes up to 30 minutes to prepare. I am considering offering wisebread members free retirement and budgeting software for 2009, but first I need to know, what is the problem? Why haven't you tried the Free Analysis?

I think one of the reasons people come to Wise Bread is that it is a peer to peer type of advising rather than a professional advisory service; and some are younger and trying to figure out student loans and cc debt rather than planning for retirement. They might not know their projected SS payment, for example.

That said, I think people enjoyed hearing from David Loeper (the 401-k guy with a specific area of expertise). He got people to clarify their questions, which was extremely useful -- there is always more to questions than people realize, but in general people don't necessarily want to give out personal info.

Still, I am curious about what the difference between regular retirement and green retirement is.

No, it takes you less than 1 minute to complete the online form, it takes me 30 minutes to prepare the Free Retirement Analysis.

Let me respond to your comment point by point. I have an article on the Retirement Blog titled "Graduate and Retire by 35". So, Green Retirement works for anyone, in any stage. SS payments are helpful for planning if the person is 55 or over, younger people can leave it blank.

David Loeper is an investment advisor, Green Retirement is not an investment firm, their is no conflict. No personal info besides an email address to receive the analysis, is needed or wanted, to prepare an Analysis or even full retirement plan.

Instead of giving a long explanation on the forum, of the differences between Green and Traditional, you can read "How Going Green Saves Your Retirement" Where you see the word "Green", replace it with "Frugal", frugal people are green whether they know it or not. The biggest difference, besides being able to retire with less savings and earlier, is Green Retirement is much more accurate. Traditional guesses how much savings you need for retirement.

Over the holidays I will be redesigning my site and product, to make retirement planning even more affordable, $89 for plan and software compared to $1,500 for traditional. And once completed, I will stop offering the Free Analysis, so the offer will not last long.

The reason I am doing this for free, is because I need feedback (positive and negative), and I want to improve the process for the next phase of development. Thanks Khorell and Julie for responding to my posting.
