Pay off my evil Home Equity Loan. Okay, it's not evil. It allowed us to buy a fantastic house at a great price, by also allowing us to redo the awful kitchen. However, my good PF decision to take the shortest possible term means a huge payment every month. I can't wait to put that behind us!

We kind of did..... Well we only got about $19k and it was gross, so we only got about $14k net. we used it to pay off our student loan debt. Now all we have is the house.....

We are restoring our 100 year old home. An extra $20,000 would allow us to have someone else do some of the work and speed up the process. We'd also take a long overdue vacation. We don't have any CC debt or car payments and have a comfortable emergency fund as well as car and other savings.

50% in high-yield savings.

I'd probably blow the rest. *grin*

Ohhh!!! Love games like this!

I would:

Completely pay off my debt.
Book a vacation for my husband and I.
Put the remainder in a Roth.

Roth is good. I'd hire him to play a concert in my back yard.

I'd eliminate my personal debt, and buy a scooter

being able to start at "zero" would really change my life.

what kind of scooter? I like the Kymco line, but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet.

Scooters are cool, but I'm a big guy, so I'd have to go with a cheap cruiser, like a Honda Shadow. Used, of course.
