From what I remember, you need to sign up through a referral from an existing Orange account-holder in order to get the $25 bonus. The referrer gets $10. Search the web for "ing direct referral". There are lots of folks out there posting referral links.

I signed up for an acct with ING last month strictly for loose money savings and so far its working out great. I transfer from my BOA checking and just forget about it. But I did notice the interest rate did go down, will it go back up or will it keep going down?

it trends up and down along with the Fed's short term interest rate, and is slightly lower than the Fed rate.

I have an ING account, and it's been great at helping me save!
By getting the money out of my normal bank account to where I don't see it every day (read: can't spend it!) it sits there and earns me some interest.

Love it! I throw my daughter's savings into it from our brick and mortar bank account. So easy, and she earns much more money than through the local kid's savers plan. I had a problem verifying my external account due to a glitch in my local bank system, and the ING customer service was SO professional. I only waited a minute on the phone, and the guy couldn't have been more awesome. I highly recommend them. What's a percentage point when you get A+ service?

I Love ING. i opened up an account a while back when my friend referred me, and i have referred some family and friends. i also opened up a few of their CDs, they had good rates. i opened them with a small amt i wouldn't miss, say $100 for 5 years for the highest interest rate. then i keep rolling them over when they mature. i also have the automatic deduction from them each month too- about $50.

I can also refer any potential new customers to ING. Just pm me if you'd like a referral.
