I've created a loan listing on Prosper.com

I'm excited for two reasons: I'm taking part in P2P lending and I'm going to get the back yard fixed.

Does anyone here have any Prosper success stories?

I withdrew the original listing and re-listed with a lower starting rate. The original listing was 50% funded within a couple of hours so I figured I'd make out OK with a lower rate. I was also going to join groups, but those had to be invited/approved...I will do that before a subsequent loan, if I do it again.

I should have used the referral link rather than just a direct link to the listing. Borrowers get $50 and lenders get $25 for each referred member.

I have a Prosper loan that I took out back in March and so far I've been very happy that I did it. I managed to get a $3,000 loan at 12% interest which allowed me to save some money by paying off my scooter loan and also allowed to buy a new camera.
I've also invested a small amount back in Prosper and so far I'm gaining a return of 16.9%.
I like the system very much and I would definitely recommend it. In listing something, I can't stress detail enough. People want to know absolutely everything and are more likely to bid on your loan if they have all the information about your finances.

I am a current lender on prosper. Only have about $1,100 invested and earning an average of 11% mostly to people with AA credit rating. I am cringing at the thought of getting my first late payment. Hopefully everyone will pay as they agreed too.

My loan closed at 7.1% and the money was deposited yesterday. I love this website. I'll definitely be using it again if the need arises, rather than going to the credit union.
