I haven't made any serious changes, but I am reconsidering our plans to move house this summer. It doesn't look like the market is going to improve any time soon, and I hate to buy something while prices might still be going down. And who knows whether we could even sell our current home? We might decide to stay put until things settle down a bit more.

I don't think enough changed today to fundamentally alter my plans. However, I always have a few lowball limit orders in play. One of them got filled first thing this morning and is already up 2.8%. I'm keeping all hedge positions in place.

I'll still continue investing even in the down market. Though I mostly like contributing regularly to mutual funds as my primary investing strategy, the recent drop in stock prices has made me think I should up my contributions amounts in the near term and start paying attention to some individual stocks. Of course, this is all dependent on my being able to find the extra capital to invest while things are going downhill.

Even though the media will try and convince you this is the apocalypse, I am going to keep on doing what I've been doing. It is just a great time to go shopping for great companies on huge discounts.

I admit, this market downswing has me worried. I had planned to use some investments as part of a downpayment for a new house. I've been seriously considering pulling out of the market and throwing them into a CD instead since I'll be looking to move within the yr..

I am also continuing to invest in my retirement account because a lot of stocks are on sale now. Like many people on this thread said, if I sell now then I will lose money for sure. It is better to just let the market adjust itself and ride it out. I have a good amount of cash in case of emergencies so I am not too worried about my investments (they're mostly in various mutual funds).
