Default Personal Finance Books?

I've been a little bored lately, and I'm interested in picking up some good personal finance books. Anything that has to do with investing or saving or cutting costs would be awesome. Does anyone have any good book recommendations?

Here's my list from late last year: Top Ten Personal Finance Books. While I like them all, I enjoy the unusual perspective of Stephen Pollan in Die Broke. If you've never read it, I suggest reading it at least once.

These are my favorite investing books, from most to least accessible:

"The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need" by Tobias
"The Boglehead's Guide to Investing" by Larimore and Lindauer
"The Intelligent Asset Allocator" by Bernstein
"Asset Allocation" by Gibson

For someone that needs motivation to get started, I like "Your Money or Your Life," "Total Money Makeover," and "The Simple Living Guide."

Alright, I'll check those out, they sound pretty interesting. Anyone else have some recommendations?

I second the Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. It really got me thinking about personal finance.

I've reviewed a couple of the books others have mentioned:

Here are couple other books that I've reviewed that are on-topic:

You can find these and all of the other Wise Bread book reviews here:

More Wealth Without Risk - Charles Givens, probably the best book on saving and cutting costs. 500 pages of tips.

That's actually the book that got me started on personal finances. Ever since then I've discovered Wisebread and countless other financial blogs, and have tried to educate myself a little everyday.

One thing I should've said in my original reply: I think "Total Money Makeover" and "Your Money or Your Life" are superb for motivation, perspective, and lifestyle advice, but their investment advice is pretty much completely crazy.

Agreed, I didn't take any investment advice from Ramsey, other that invest in mutual funds, but it certainly motivated me to find more information.
