I have my Roth IRA at vanguard because they have the lowest cost mutual funds and great customer service. The problem is that you need a $3000 minimum for most of their funds. If you can afford to put in $3000 at once I highly recommend Vanguard.

If you are eligible to join USAA, I highly recommend them. Fantastic fees, good funds, and outstanding customer service. However, you must be eligible for membership.

I have my Roth IRA at Scottrade because they have no-fee IRAs and access to a broad range of investments and because although I use some mutual funds, I do a significant amount of investment research on the side too.

However, as you can see from the answers so far, there is no one best place for Roth IRAs. It depends on what you plan to do. For example, I actually would recommend Vanguard for their low expense ratios if you're taking the indexing approach.
