Reputation: | I did a little research. Depending upon who you believe, the average going rate for a tooth in 2007 was either $2.09- on Web MD- or $2.64- on CNN. And I thought gas went up. I used to get a quarter. Are you the one bringing that average up!?? Are different teeth worth more than others? I would think the two front teeth would be prime real estate. And that first tooth to fall out, a gold mine. Lisa Greener Pastures |

Reputation: | The odd thing is, even though everyone knows them as Mercury Dimes, it is actually Lady Liberty on the coin. The designer of the coin put small wings on her headdress to signify 'liberty of thought', but nearly all just associated them with the male god Mercury. The 'Mercury Dimes were minted between 1916, and 1945, but other versions of Liberty were on the dime from its introduction in 1796. In 1946 Liberty was finally replaced by a likeness of Roosevelt. |
