Reputation: | Remember when you were a kid and the standard reason your parents gave you for doing all of those things that did not make sense to you was... "Because I am your Mother/Father, and I said so!" In case you missed the news, the last couple of weeks the government has been announcing the official date for the end of the recession will be Thursday, Oct 29! So, I know what you are thinking... How can they pick a specific day? The economy still looks bleak from your perspective, maybe even worse now. It does not make logical sense to expect us to believe that setting an "ending date" will magically make the economy better. So, go ahead...ask the question... "Why in the world are we all being forced to pretend the recession is over on some randomly announced day, when it is obvious to everyone that it is a "joke". Come on, you know what's coming... Answer: "Because they are your Government, and they said so!" now, quit asking questions, and eat your vegetables... lol
