Reputation: | I have often heard people say of wealhy individuals and business owners that they must have been dishonest and greedy, and that they must have cut corners or cheated the system to have made so much money. Now let's define dishonest - from dictionary.com dis⋅hon⋅est 1.not honest; disposed to lie, cheat, or steal; not worthy of trust or belief: a dishonest person. 2.proceeding from or exhibiting lack of honesty; fraudulent: a dishonest advertisement. I know that we can be wealthy in many ways other than money, including our spiritual, personal, health and social lives. For the purposes of this dicussion let's define wealth as having a successful business, or enough personal savings, to afford you the time and money to do whatever you want, when and with whom you want to do it with. What do you think of the middle class' idea that wealth is associated with dishonesty and greed? Do you believe honest people can become wealthy? If you believe it is possible to become wealthy and not be dishonest or greedy, how would you do it? How long do you think it would take? |
