I don't have one either. If my company required me to travel and pay the costs up front, and then get reimbursed later, I would consider getting one. Other than that, they would not be for me.

Great thread everyone. I'm currently looking for a card to use as cash (not building debt) and the cash back cards look great. I'm also looking for some extended coverage/replacement/warranty services on purchases like electronics. Are there any cash-back cards with this, or do you have to choose one feature or the other?

Also, I'm looking for a card that works with Mint.com.

Countrwide Visa. For every $2500 on the card, I can get $50 put towards our (Countrywide) mortgage.

We put about $700 extra in mortgage payments last year.

That sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I need to figure out how I can get into PenFed. I just joined my credit union a few months ago and I love it. The only thing they don't have is good rewards credit cards.

Citibank Diamond Preferred: 5% on groceries/restaurants/gas/pharmacy (paid as gift cards, etc. through Thank You network.) I call every year when the deal expires (goes to 1%) to close my card, and they tack on another year of 5%, plus lower my interest rate--down to 2.9%.
Amex Costco: 3% gas (paid as Costco check.) Don't know the other rebates since we only use this for Costco gas. Annual fee waived--they just charge your yearly Costco membership to the card ($50).
Chase Disney Rewards: 1% on everything, plus random 5% bonus offers throughout the year (paid as Disney dollars.) We keep this for the Disneyland perks--2 free strollers/day, 10% off at many Disneyland restaurants, etc.
We only charge gas and bills (and of course pay the totals off completely each month), so the rebates trickle in very slowly.

MSMom, thanks for reminding me to join PenFed. I've been meaning to do it for a while, but I always remembered at inopportune times (like on the Metro, or in my car.) While we have traditionally only had two credit cards each, the PenFed gas rebate is such an amazing deal that we decided to be adventurous. They're also offering a spectacular offer on balance transfers, but I haven't yet looked into how they apply their payments. I don't want to be paying their regular (high) interest rate on gas while I my payments to go the low rate balance transfer.

I used to use Discover. Now I use Amazon - Chase - Visa. I get 1% back on all purchases and 3% on all Amazon purchases. Buying things from Amazon can bring that cash back number up pretty quickly.
