Having our first child. My husband is self-employed so relies on my health insurance. I am thinking about what could happen after the baby is born with my basically "having to work" because it's difficult for us to afford health insurance independently.

Finding a job. With everything increasing in price, especially gas, we're going to have to add some income. My husband has asked for overtime, looked into starting his own programming business on the side, and I've been looking for work daily. I've been a stay at home mother for 8 years (just got certified statewide and nationally as an EMT-B) and while it hasn't been a completely smooth ride , I didn't worry about things. I worry now.

My grocery bill keeps going up and even with cutting back to the bare minimum driving, gas costs a bundle. So, yeah... I'm worried about just affording to live anymore.

I'm thankful that we are absolutely above water, but it's scary anyway.

The security of my job and my maternity leave. Despite the legalities of it, I am not convinced that my company isn't discriminatory against pg women (or really, women in general.)

Inflation. My family is pretty lucky in that our income is reliable, but that doesn't help much if prices keep increasing so fast. I try to grocery shop every two weeks and I'm always amazed at the increases in food prices.

My financial house is slowly getting whipped into shape (after a grueling year of mayhem, that is). I suppose my biggest financial concern right is the current government deficit, economical steroids and inflation spiraling into hyperinflation. The Fed has truly backed itself between a rock and a hard place

Same as most of you - inflation. There just seems no end to it. I went grocery shopping last week after a month and some things like rice, cheese, pasta and pasta sauce (all the largest sizes) have gone up $2-3 dollars in the past couple of months. We live in an area where we only have one decent grocery store in a 40 mile radius.

We have a house which we bought because our home business was doing well. And now business isn't doing so well because we sell luxury items (dog clothing and costumes for horses), and we have an ARM (with a fixed rate for 10 years - we bought the house in 2005) ... and our lender is IndyMac bank.

Losing about $3500 due to a scooter accident. My scooter was totaled, I have medical bills, and now I have to buy a car.
I feel a bit like I'm drowning. I'm going to be getting a second job as soon as my shoulder is better.
