I'm a die hard budget fan. About 8 years ago I created a budget calendar template in excel and have been using that religiously to track expenses and to forecast a budget at least a year in advance. Its really helped my husband and I stay on top of our finances and allowed us to achieve several financial goals (getting out of debt, and buying our first home). I sell a version of it on eBay. If you do a search of 'Personal Budget' several items will come up. Mine is titled EverGreen Budget Calendar & Cash Mgmt System. Check it out if you're interested.
