Default Win a free copy of "The Drunkard's Walk"

Win a copy of The Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives by Leonard Mlodinow!

How to win

To win, just post a comment or question in this thread! (Even a simple "I want to win a free copy" will do). We will randomly select 7 lucky winners on June 30th.
[editor's note: Contest is closed! See bottom of this post for the winners]

About the book

Drunkard's Walk is a fascinating examination of how randomness and our misunderstanding of statistics affect our lives.

Written for the layman in the readable style of Freakonomics, Drunkard's Walk provides profound insights on everything under the sun, like how blockbuster movies are made, why polling results are misleading, why game show contestants make stupid choices, how statistics were misused in the OJ Simpson trial and more.

Drunkard's Walk has received rave reviews from critics. You can read a detailed review from our very own Philip Brewer:

Quote:
Mlodinow's book is a fascinating excursion into the realm of random events, and a surprisingly interesting history of the mathematical tools that people have come up with to events that are or might be random.

(It's also the only book that has ever made me think, "Gee, I should get a good statistics text--the math here is really interesting.")

About the author

Leonard is the author of Feynman’s Rainbow, Euclid’s Window and, with Stephen Hawking, A Briefer History of Time. Leonard also wrote for the television series MacGyver and Star Trek: The Next Generation!

The Winners
Here are the 7 lucky winners! I'll be contacting you later today via email and our internal PM to get your addresses. Thanks for participating in this thread.

When (after winning) I read this book, will I learn if my win was truly random?

seems fitting that a book about randomness would be distributed randomly!
