Default Your Opinion(s) About Fool.com Services

Hi,

I was checking different paid services provided by www.fool.com like, Stock Advisor, Rule Breakers, Hidden Gems, Million-Dollar portfolios etc.

I was wondering if

a. Any of the WiseBread readers are aware of these services?
b. If anyone is using their services?
c. Do you like their services?
d. Do you happen to have any opinions or experiences with the Fool services?

Cheers
Cleric

I have started using their services -- there is quite a bit of information to keep up with...I am also using a service recommended by Millionaire Mommy (our PF blogger guest this week), which is much simpler and easier to use.

Julie,

Would you mind if I ask you what services have you subscribed with the Motley Fool?

Cheers

Inside Value. I get the ads for the others as well; would like to spend more time using the information but sometimes too much info is just not what I want.

Are you using any of these?

Julie,

Thank you. I haven't subscribed to any of the Fool's services as of yet. I have an invitation to the Million Dollar Portfolio services that is being offered.

I like the Ready-Made Millionaire. It is very similar in concepts, to that of passive investing. Set it and forget it. I may go with this.

Also, if I may ask, what brokerage firm do you use?

Cheers

TD Ameritrade -- I opened an account with them way back when it was TD Waterhouse or something (10 or so, maybe more years ago). I say that b/c I am sure there are more discount brokerage acccounts now but there weren't many at the time. Still, I am fine with their service -- I've heard that some firms are a tad cheaper but I think it depends on how and what you trade.

Julie,

Very well said. Highly appreciate your time and effort in answering my questions. Hope I can also contribute to the wisebread blog, someday.

Cheers

I recently signed up for their 30 Day Free Trial on their Retirement Newsletter. I have to say their is a ton of information on their sight as well as resources, videos, and helpful tools you probably would not find anywhere else. The value is around $199 but you can cancel before the 30 days. I find this info really useful!

Hi, all, I've been busy with life and haven't been reading the wisebread forums for the past 6 months or so. But anyhow, we subscribe to the Stock Adviser service, which seems to suit our approach to investing pretty well--sort of a mix of DIY and needing some guidance. There's two main picks for each month, but also ongoing updates on previous picks that you can decide to get in on, increase your position in, or get out of.
