OK readers, I’m digging this company more and more all the time. Not only are they comparable in price with other name brands, they produce darn high quality products. This includes their paper products which I’ll get to in a bit. Bonus? They are offering several coupons for various products worth a buck a pop. Check this out.
Those of you who caught my first review of their soap line know that I was super satisfied and raring to review several of their non-liquid consumables. Here are the ones I’ve test driven thus far, in all their recycled, post consumer, non - chlorinated glory:
Napkins:

Definitely not flimsy and of equal quality to any other regular napkins on the market. Normally, I’m a cloth napkin kind of girl for around the house. But for a large get together or summer BBQ, the quality is right there. Personal verdict? A responsible choice, as paper products go.
Boxed tissues:

Again, not an item I usually buy. I’m more of a keep a roll of toilet tissue in every possible location during cold season kind of girl. But if you like the tidier appearance of having a box set out, or are stocking the office at work, these could be helpful. A tad thinner than some of the super puffy ones on the market, but certainly not flimsy like generics either. Definitely functional.
Paper towels:

Well, normally I save these for super messes. But with my current bathroom crisis I’ve cut myself some eco-slack and put them back into the regular household routine temporarily. So I was anxious to test drive Seventh Generation’s version of this product. The results? Maybe it’s just me, but I found these to leave behind far less lint than the other kind I had stockpiled to deal with the septic overflow. Score!
Toilet tissue:

Absorbent enough, not scratchy, and ridged for extra “nook and cranny” access. Digging it.
Baby wipes:

With no bidet and bucket baths being the norm until it’s warm enough to rip up the floor boards and re-route the bathroom sink and shower lines to the kitchen exit system (Apparently, I have two – who knew?), these are high on my bathroom crisis survival list. Large enough to get the job done, and in my opinion, not overtly drying. Love that.
Now, on to the coupons! There are currently two on their site, which are fine until around March 10th of this year, according to the product rep.
-
One for a dollar off any laundry product.
-
One for a dollar off any dishwashing product.
Why March tenth-ish? That’s when they update their site with a whole new look. At that time, a whole new set of coupons will be offered.
-
One for a buck off diapers.
-
One for a dollar off any cleaning product.
-
And another one dollar coupon for any laundry product.
If your computer doesn’t display them properly for whatever reason (mine didn’t), Seventh Generation will mail them to you. According to the information on their site, the coupons are good for a month after printing and you can print each coupon up to two times. From what the product rep said, they do ask that you join their online group to get the coupons, but hey you get to post product reviews and make comments in their forum. Got a green blog to market, anyone? Or, maybe you just want to make the transition to eco-friendly cleaning products and need to save as much as possible during the transition? Either way, these coupons just might be your chance to get started on the cheap!
