I'm ready for spring because I have SAD (seasonal affective disorder)! Seriously! Fall/winter bring me down. It's really quite an amazing thing. I do light therapy, which helps a lot, but there is nothing like going into the spring and then summer. I actually look forward do daylight savings time!!!! Spring brings lots of sunlight, longer days, trees and flowers blooming, and great weather. It's almost impossible to feel down!
Despite living in So. Cal, I can't wait for spring and warm weather. I need it to give myself an energy-lift and feel like doing things again. Between the warmer weather and the daylight savings time...I'm in heaven!
Because winter has literally been a pain! I have arthritis that is flared up by below freezing weather and it was below the teens much of January & February. Yea Spring! Bring it on.
I am ready for Spring because I have rambunctious two year old twins that HAVE to be outside every day otherwise we are all miserable. I am so happy to have warm, breezy backyard weather!
I'm ready for spring, because I live in Madison, WI. So far this year, we've gotten 101.9 inches of snow. There's a winter storm advisory for Thursday, predicting another 6" or so of the white stuff. I'm sick of shoveling, I'm sick of slipping on iced over sidewalks, I'm sick of my 2 and 3 year old being parked in front of the teevee, and I'm sick of shoveling frozen dog poop out of 3 foot snowbanks. My kids have outgrown their winter wardrobes, and my son's boots have holes in them but it's too cold and snowy to retire any of those clothes.
I'm going to be celebrating spring by canceling cable and kicking the whole family outside for hours on end. And I'm going to be wearing sandals the second the last of the slush melts.
Even though we've had a mild winter in New Orleans, I'm ready for Spring so I can wear a dress now and then!
I am ready for spring because if I gain any more pregnancy weight, I won't be able to walk without tipping over!
That's the next season up in the order of God's creation. It gives me opportunity to get back outside in the form of doing some yardwork, painting furniture, & admiring the beauty that burst through from the brown, seemingly barren, wintertime. I think it's His way of reminding us that we have hope. Through the beauty of Spring.
I got an unexpected push toward spring cleaning this year. Three weeks ago our house was burglarized. We lost replaceable high-end camera gear (that my husband uses professionally) and ALL of my jewelry…mostly from dead relatives. After the initial shock and the feelings of loss over the truly irreplaceable items, I feel a sense of freedom from the “material”. I would of course love to see my grandmother’s pearls again, but that’s spilt milk. I will take the small insurance settlement and make solid financial choices. I will use it to secure my future, take my daughter on a trip and create memories that will have greater value than any material things. I’m ready for growth. Isn’t that what spring is all about?
I'm ready for spring because I have a table full of seedlings in my dining room that will soon become my vegetable garden. Once the weather is right, the mini veggies get to be planted outdoors in their new bed, where they'll have a whole season of tender loving care ahead of them. My baby veggies want to grow! Springtime, please hurry.
I'm ready for spring because I live in Chicago; I'm tired of the wind chill, the shoveling of snow, regular emergency weather reports, cars splashing slush on me when I'm waiting for the bus, constantly falling down because of black ice...the list goes on and on. As a California native the cold weather usually doesn't bother me as much as my family thinks it does, but this is one time they're right. If it snows one more time this winter it will be time to send me to the nut house.
I love spring! I too have a windowsill full of babies (baby veggies) ready for their permanent home outside. They are so tiny and cute right now! I can't wait to dig in the garden - I love the smell of the dirt, the feeling of the warm sunshine, and seeing all the garden creatures, especilly the butterflies. Spring does something for my attitude too - I feel renewed and anything seems possible. Bring it on!
I'm ready to get out of the gym and back into outdoor spring activities :)
I'm ready to see green again! I can just barely see the smallest specks of the buds on the trees peeking out. Soon there will be an explosion of green everywhere. New fresh grass, fiddle heads and beautiful flowers are just a few green things I'm eagerly anticipating.....oh and getting my 3 wild boys out to enjoy it with me.
I'm ready to see the spring vegetables at the farmers market and to go pick strawberries in the fields! Springtime is a fantastic season in the culinary world and it can't ge here fast enough.
You mean sping is coming. We have 2 feet of snow on the ground and I am beginning to dream of a white April Fool's day. Of course when you live in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada you are always waiting for spring and we wait longer than most. But mostly, after snow here since November I want to smell the earth. During the winter the air is clean and crisp but there is no earthy smell and the world is alive. So bring on the green.
I live way north in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It started to snow in October, and it wont end until mid April. I live right on the snowbelt and we have snowbanks that are 4 foot high! Anymore reasons? How about paying for oil to heat my house this very long Winter -- at almost $4 per gallon? Yes, I am more than ready for Spring!
I grew up in Michigan. Spring was when it started to get warm and the flowers poked through the snow and some days you could get away with not zipping up your heavy winter coat when you walked home from school. And then, before too long, you could get away with taking off your coat at recess and just running around in your long sleeves. But you still had to take your shoes off before coming into the house, cause they were both wet and muddy (as opposed to just wet from the snow in the winter).
Now I live in Texas. Spring is great here. Unfortunately it only lasts a couple of weeks before we're into full on summer. I like the spring, but it often serves as a reminder of the 100+ degree days that are coming all too soon. I like my job and love where I live, I just don't like the weather here very much. But I do get to have fun talking to Mom and Dad (still living in Michigan) about how I wore shorts and have the windows open in the house while they're contemplating whether the snow is too heavy to be blown and must be shoveled by hand. That part of living up north I don't miss.
Baseball. Once the season starts and I can watch or listen to games in the evenings, my mind instantly registers that spring has arrived!
I love seeing my yard erupt with color, with very little intervention from me (God bless the previous house owners and their green thumbs!). I love getting into my car that has been warmed by the sun, even though outside still has that lovely hint of chilled breeze. I love being able to take the dog for a nice long walk after work, and it's not even close to dark yet. I love that the miserable heat of the NC summer won't kick in for another couple of months or so, and I can be outside without freezing or melting. And this spring, I am looking forward to celebrating the weddings of two friends, as well as wrapping up the details of my own fall wedding later this year.
I'm a heavy construction safety manager. I've worked outside all winter and it's been a cold one. My "office" (a plywood shed with no insulation) was cold and due to a heating malfunction, so was my appartment.
And as a gardener I am going through withdrawal. Send me flowers and sunshine and butterflies! STAT!

I can't wait for my garden to grow! I love all the butterfly and hummingbird attracting flowers and I can't wait to taste the sun warmed tomatoes and strawberries straight from my garden!
Because I'll finally graduate from college in May! :D It's "only" been 4 years (as compared to 5 or even 6 that my peers usually spend on their BA) but I'm ready to finally land a decent job and apply more of the moneysaving/investing tips your blog has to offer. ;)
For me springtime signifies the start of the circle of all the seasons. It's time for hope, possibilities and the imagination of what lies ahead.
I'm very ready for spring! I teach preschool and the kids have a major case of cabin fever. We're all ready to be able to go outside and play!!!
I'm so ready for spring! Here's a short list why:
1) It's already spring where I live :)
2) Fresh, ripe fruit everywhere you look
3) Cute dresses that can be worn without jackets, coats, stockings, etc.
4) More daylight
5) The smell of orange blossoms in bloom everywhere you go
I love when the kids get to outside and play in the water with the hose. Clean cars, clean kids, clean pets....it is all good!
I also love that I can plant new Spring flowers in my yard and can't wait to pick out the colors.
I love that we get more hours of daylight to visit and hangout with the people on my street.
LOVE LOVE LOVE SPIRNG
My family has had more colds/flu/etc. this winter than I can remember in any recent year. I need the warm weather so we can open the house, play outside, and hopefully stop getting sick!
I live in Ottawa, Ontario and, so far this year, we've had 168 inches of snow. The record is 175 inches, and we just might break it!
I'm currently training for a half-marathon in May in Ottawa and for a Marathon in August in Reykjavik, Iceland. While I usually like running in winter, I must say that this year has been more challenging than others!
So, the reason I'm looking forward to spring is so that I can run on solid ground! Enough of this white stuff already! ;-)
Well, to start the list of reasons why I need Spring, and NOW:
1. The dog got fat!
Our Bichon/Poodle loves to get out and run around, and chase
the kids. But except for a few random nice days this winter,
she's turned into a total couch potato!! And she gained like
5 extra pounds!! She needs to exercise!! But it's too cold
for me to take her out!
2. I got fat!
Yep. Suprise, right? No. I'm usually slightly bigger than I
should be. But now I'm slightly bigger than my bigger than
I should be. (got that??) I've become a total couch potato
with the DOG!!! She needs to take me for a walk in nice
Springy weather!! And I NEED to feel the warm sun on my face
and arms. Seriously. I NEED to. Everyone does. We gotta get
our "Sunny D" (vitamin D from the sun!) in order for our
bodies to function right, and fight off bad stuff that our
cells might be turning into! (the "C word"!)
3. My kids got fa....no, just kidding!! But my kids are getting
really lazy, and becomming one of those kids who can't go
a day without video games, which is alarming me!!
If it's even slightly nice out, they try their hardest to
get outside and run around...and then rush in and play
video games....
4. I can't take the GERMS anymore!! The whole family got the flu
last month, and that was 2 weeks after the stomach flu that
we ALL got, also...which was 3 weeks after that bad cold
my Daughter got...which was....you get the idea! Arghhhh!!!
5. My Husband NEEDS to fish!!! We found a nice spot last year,
and milked it for every unseasonably nice day up to October
last year. But ever since that last nice day when we
spontaneously rushed to the fishing hole and got that last
drop of "summer", he just hasn't seemed right! Poor guy.
The withdrawl must be terrible!
And that concludes my reasons why Spring just can't come fast
enough. Just the simple act of opening the windows during that first few days in a row, of great weather, changes my whole attitude, as I smell the fresh air throughout the house.
Is it here yet?
How 'bout now?
Now?
Is it here YET?
How 'bout NOW?????...........
Because the sun is back!!! I miss the warmth... and I won't have to layer on so many clothes everyday! This also means the start for gardening season... meaning I now have no excuses for not getting outside and being active!!!
I can't wait for THIS spring to come because this year in spring, I'll be getting married! My fiance and I can't wait to begin this new chapter in our life and we're preparing for it by learning as much as we can about saving money and living frugally! We're young - just out of college - so all of the tips on saving our pennies have been SO valuable to us!
Hooray for Spring and new beginnings!
"Renewing my Soul
or my Spirit, beckoned
by Spring, I rejoice"
I’m ready for spring because I really want to ride my motorcycle. It will be nice to be able to sit on the balcony and read as well.
Flowers, leaves budding, birds waking me up with their morning chorus; longer warmer days with more bursts of sun. Neighbors (and me!)coming out of hibernation to chat. Feels like a morning stretch after a long night's sleep. Oh yes, I am ready for Spring!
Because I just got a cast off my foot and can't wait to strut my stuff!
I am a barefoot kind of girl, and unfortunately that doesn't really work out so well during midwestern winters. I am SO ready for spring so that I can open windows and get back into sandals!
Spring is my favorite season of all, everything feels so new and fresh and the weather isn't too cold or too hot.
The absolute best thing about spring is that the kids get to play outside with their friends. No more cooped up in the house! Instead, running and screaming to their hearts' content.
Here in Montreal, we've had a near-record-breaking near of snowfall: over 347 cm (136")! I'm tired of seeing snow piled up two stories high, like here, here, and here! I want a beautiful spring day, where I can walk down the street in only a light sweater. I want birds chirping, trees budding, and pick-up frizbee games in the park.
Most of all, though, I want to sit on a terrace, savouring a fruity gelato, and watch everyone come out of their winter-hibernation shells!
What could be a better reason to be ready for spring??? I'm getting married on May 26! I got engaged to the love of my life this past December, right during the winter doldrums. We've been waiting for spring ever since, not just for warmer weather but because we get to start our lives together!
Even more, my fiance's birthday is May 29, just a few short days after our wedding. I would just love to give this necklace to her as a wedding/birthday present.
I always love spring, but this year, I just can't wait!
I am ready for spring because I live in Syracuse, NY. 'Nuff said.
I'm ready for Spring, so that I can play in my garden. I have already started some seeds indoors, but I can't wait to get outside and dig in the dirt!
I am eagerly awaiting going on my AM runs and actually being able to SEE where I am running! Yay, sunlight!
I can't wait to go sailing, kayaking, canoing, swimming. That's about it.
Here in the low desert, it's already spring. The desert parks and my xeriscaped yard are glowing with flowers. Everywhere, the air is perfumed with citrus blossoms. The oranges, which mature in February, are juicy and sweet as candy; the lime tree has both fruit and blossoms, and the Meyer lemon that was so walloped by the 2006/07 winter freezes has finally recovered, is covered with blossoms, and soon will set a nice crop.
Compared to the UP (oh, am i glad i don't live there!), our winter IS spring.
I love it because of the rafts of flowers and the temperatures that let you leave the doors and windows open all day and night (security doors locked, o'course), and because it's the LAST CHANCE to enjoy the outdoors before three months of 110-degree heat. :-)
I can't wait for spring so that I can replace the fence. Our dog has knocked out a series of the slats, so that the neighbor's shih-tzu can come visit the yard and antagonize the cats through the bedroom window. Hilarious the first few times, but eventually the sound of tiny dog bouncing off of a pane of glass tends to get kind of old.
I'm ready to sleep with my windows open and wake up with the birds chirping!
I'm ready for spring because I can only take so many months of the treadmill in my apartment building's gym. I'm ready to be running outside with the wind in my hair!
I am very excited about Spring this year because I will be able to drive around with the sunroof open and feel the warmth of the sun on my face in a car that I just paid off!
Maybe take a road trip with one of those paid-off car payments!
My wife and I are both teachers, we look forward to spring every year because of the increased excitement for summer in the students eyes. Plus we get time off to enjoy life outside of the classroom. Although I would enjoy the necklace, lol, I want to give it to my wife. She is my best friend and the person who makes it feel like spring sunshine everyday. Best part of spring is spending it with her. :-)
We have moved to this new house with a small yard this month. I am ready for the spring with my transplanter, shovel et al. I just want to let my green thumb run amock.
It is finally break-up in Alaska! I have survived the winter and my boyfriend is coming to visit me as soon as things truely warm up. Yeah! I can't wait!!!
I'm looking forward to spring because I'm already planning out my container garden for my apartment balcony. Tonight I plan to start some seeds to grow mint, parsley and beans! I won't miss slipping on ice or digging my car out of snow banks!
I am ready for spring because I can't wait to air out my house! I also have been itching to do some gardening.
I'm ready for spring because I'd love to see the flowers bloom and all the bunnies and butterflies come out to play! :)
I'm ready for spring because we have had a wet, cold winter in Ohio and everytime I walk to or from my car or the gym, the bottoms of my pants get wet. I get seriously angry about that..next year I need to get some boots. My temper is worse in the winter!
I'm ready for spring because my current home of Madison, Wisconsin, has gotten more than 100 inches of snow this winter. That is way too much for a Texas girl like me to handle.
I a ready for spring because, like a butterfly, I have recently emerged from my cacoon (horrible job, bad marriage) and I need beauty, warm weather and sunshine.
I am ready for Spring because I live in Chicagoland (where it feels like we have 10 months of winter) and this winter has been exceptionally bad. Out of the top 20 snowiest winters in Chicago, this year landed #2 on the list with a whopping total of 72" of snow (the number 1 slot is 74"). I think it snowed every other day this winter so I am very ready for springtime. I can't wait to begin planting my flowers and opening my windows. I feel like I've been trapped inside for a very long time. I forgot what birds sound like!
I'm ready for spring because in the fall we found out my son has a heart condition which makes it impossible for him to take his ADHD medication anymore. We've been trapped inside with him all winter long and I am so ready for him to be able to play outside and burn off his energy! I also so enjoy seeing the flowers in bloom and hearing the birds chirp again!
I'm ready for Spring because we're planning a trip to my most favorite place in the world - Disneyland!
I made it through another cruel, harsh Minnesota winter, and I am SO ready for spring because this weekend is the baseball opener! Let's see...jersey, snacks, tickets...yep, I'm all set!
everybody is ready for spring to come!!! i love spring time season!!! pls count me in. yanyan_140[at]yahoo[dot]com
I am ready for Spring because it seems we've constantly been sick over the Winter here. :( Also, we have a new babe arriving in Spring. So it has lots of things for us to look forward to this year!
I am ready for spring mostly because my two daughters love to be outside. And now they aren't trying to sneak out without their shoes on into the snow!!! Also in early spring I like to be outside and clean up the yard before it gets hot.
because I have lower back problems which are helped by long walks which I am more likely to take when there's no snow or ice. Falling on the ice (which I did twice this year) does not help lower back problems. Also I like the colors of the spring in Kansas.
I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring because it means only a few more months until my husband comes from Iraq. Hooray! Winter means being cooped up in a small apartment without your husband. And all of his personal belongs are there to remind you that he’s not home with you. If it wasn’t for all the snow storms I would have tried to get out more! During spring, I plan to go out more, run more, and drive up to Wisconsin to see the rest of the activated reservists’ wives and girlfriends.
I am so ready for spring! I love warm, sunny days, the birds singing, the sun rising earlier and setting later, everything growing! I am not a cold person at all!
because Spring is what Tiggers do best!
I have taught high school autistic and similarly challenged students for 26 years and each year I look forward to spring because it means that my class and I can finally get outside and enjoy moving around the neighborhood, track, stores, and community. Winter in the Cleveland area suburbs is often too brutal to go outside and get much needed exercise with icy sidewalks and snowy drives. It definitely makes a difference in all of our dispositions to breathe the fresh air, hear the birds, and move our stiff, chubby bodies from the winter. The last three months of school are always my favorite because of the change of activities and the warmth of the approaching summer. For my students this ability to move into different environments makes learning and coping with their disability a little bit easier. I look forward to the coming of spring.
Ready for Springtime
Ready for spring and ready for bling
Winter is going and here comes the spring
Flowers and warm wind will help us to sing
What could be better than welcoming spring
Wisebread has offered to give us this thing
To see how excited we are that its spring
Concerts and outings surely springtime to bring
Making each person active feel just like a king
Babies and children enjoying park swings
Vacations and theme parks, oh yeah, Ching ching ching
Couples will love weekends going hiking
With butterflies, bird and the bees, oh Schwing
Warm wind mysteriously hold kites up with string
New chicks learn flight on the smallest of wings
Cabanas serve Sun Queens with drinks called rum slings
And Frisbees go soaring with one simple fling
We’re excited about springtime and not one bit lying
That is creative! Rock on.
I am ready for spring because we have gotten about... oh... 5 feet of snow this winter. Ok, maybe more like 10. And we are getting more tomorrow.
I'm ready for spring for two reasons. The first is that this means I get to set out my seedlings for my very first vegetable garden! I'm expecting my first child in August, and fresh veggies will be good for us and to make (and freeze) into good food for the baby.
The second reason is on behalf of my poor friends in the north! I live in Houston, so we already have some spring weather. My poor friends in NY, WI, and Canada are still suffering heavy snow, and I want them to have the spring joy now too!
I am so ready for Spring, however I might have to wait a while. We've had the most snow ever recorded this year in NB Canada. I can't wait to feel the warmth, very tired of the cold and the big bulky sweaters! I'm getting ready by planning on what I will be planting when the snow it gone :)
After a very snowy March, and a car that decided to "rest" during this month, I am more than ready for Spring! Having to walk many places that I normally drive, on sidewalks that are covered by snow, slush and ice, has made me more eager than ever for warm breezes, butterflies, green grass and clear paths. A new car would be nice, too...
We still have 3 feet of snow everywhere. I am desperate for any sign of spring!
I am ready for spring in Philly because nothing could be more fun than walking down South Street with a nice big cup of water ice from Rita's. Spring where art thou?
I'm ready for spring so I can get my summer garden ready and planted! Fresh tomatoes, juicy melons, eggplant, chilis, and squash... maybe I'll try some corn this year, too!
I'm ready for Spring because I just want to be able to enjoy the nice weather and fresh air.
I'm looking forward to spring because my office has a really bad heating/air conditioning system. We freeze in the winter and roast in the summer, but the temperature normalizes inside during the spring and fall. I'm tired of wearing so many layers inside!!!
I live in Florida where it is pretty much spring or summer (sorry!), so the weather is not such a big deal. The real reason I look forward to spring is because it's birthday time. Yes, I still love having my birthdays.
I'm ready because springs herald's in my birthday and is the end of my hyper kids being stuck in the house. I can shove them out the door now and into the yard.
I want to stop making excuses and go outside for walks everyday! And I am so sick of a pent-up 4 yr old boy who needs to get his energy out!
I am so ready for Spring. Here in Minnesota the first day of Spring has no meaning, we still have a few weeks of 30 degree temps to go.
Happy Spring! I am ready for spring because I have had a bad case of SED this winter! I love seeing the crocuses blooming and the daffodils bright yellow through all of the winter brown. Our family is getting ready to till the ground for the early planting of radishes, lettuce and collards! It is much nicer to attend my son's baseball games when it is warmer than on a cold day! The Lilac bushes are budding out and soon the Dogwood and Bradford Pear trees will be in full bloom. I can visit with my neighbors more in the spring time. It is more fun to get out and walk for my exercise than riding an indoor exercise bike. Spring is a wonderful reminder of the renewal of life. Thanks, Cindi
I am ready for spring because I am tired of being cooped up in the house. I can't wait to get out and walk around and see all the lovely spring flowers; and not have to wear a coat.
As a mom of 3 I can't wait for it to be Spring. Well, and not just me, my kids and the neighbourhood kids can't wait either. Spring onwards we have half the neighbourhood kids over to play football, basketball and fun games on the grass. Can't wait to see all the happy faces again!
I live in Arizona and can't wait for spring because with the rain we got this winter the desert plants will be simply gorgeous with blooms!
I am looking forward to spring because I am currently expecting and I can't wait to show off my pregnancy belly in the cute flowy spring clothes. I am going to love walking in the park and enjoying the fresh air for both me and the baby.
I can't wait for that day when I can:
1. Go rowing. Outside. On water.
2. Go to Paula's Burrito Place.
3. Go to an Amerk's hockey game.
Only in the spring can all 3 of those happen in one day! Can't wait!
I love the soft, warm air, the blue skies, the warmth and sunshine and the beautiful flowers that blossom in the garden. The profusion of colors and the scent of the air is delightful.
I'm ready for spring because my first baby is due this spring! (so that means not only do I get my little angel, I also will be DONE being pregnant! ;)
Found your blog because of this giveaway posted at prizey.net, and I'll be a regular reader from here on out, thanks!

My kids so need to get outside and play. Spring needs to come now!
I need spring because that means another tax season has bit the dust! Come on April 15th!!
I'm ready for spring because I am naturally pale white, and winter brings out the worst of it. I love the spring weather because I can go sit in the sun and get some color again!
I'm ready for spring so I can spend time outdoors with my family and celebrate my daughter's 1st Birthday! Thanks!
I'm ready for warmer to weather so I can take my daughter to the park!
It just snowed here yesterday and I am so ready to be done with the cold.
