Pay 1980’s Prices for Today’s Adorable OshKosh Kid’s Clothing!

By Linsey Knerl on 15 March 2008 (Updated 16 November 2011) 3 comments

I remember the first time I picked out my own brand new school clothes. They were made by Oshkosh (or OshKosh B’Gosh at that time), and they were fashionable and affordable. What’s changed since then? Not much, actually. The clothes are still cute, and for a very limited time, about the same price they were when I was growing up!

As part of a limited time, select location warehouse sale, OshKosh is offering its popular clothing for sizes 0-16 at the unbeatable price of $4.99 or less! At several venues in the U.S., no item will be marked higher than $5, and quantities are very limited.

In an email from OshKosh, they list the venues as follows:

The Tanger Outlet Centers in:

Foley, AL

Westbrook, CT

Fort Meyers, FL

Commerce, GA

Tuscola, IL

Gonzales, LA

Howell, MI

Branson, MO

Tilton, NH

A quick call to one of the sale locations (Fremont, IN) informed me that the sale will be going on “until the end of the month, or while supplies last.” The OshKosh promotional email states that this special pricing is only available at the warehouse sale locations and that quantities are limited. Assortment will vary by location, and coupons are not valid at these special events.

The sale has been going on since March 14th, so if you’re looking to buy some great kids clothes at a terrific price, hurry over to your closest warehouse location!

Saw your article and had to tell folks about it at my site. $5 and under! That's just a little more than you'd pay at the thrift store! Keep up the good work!

Gotta love sales like this. Old Navy has unofficially done this a few times. We used to live near a big outlet mall and they had kids clothes for under $5.

Oshkosh also sells it's leftover fabric to a couple of fabric outlets in the midwest. Mill End Textiles and S.R. Harris in Mpls.
The fabrics are much better quality than typical kids clothing fabric you find at most fabric stores.

The Children's Place at the outlet mall near me consistently has markdowns like this too. The clearence section will often be 2.99 or less (and includes shoes!!) -- the same deals can be gotten at their website too but I have found that the physical store has a better selection and there is no shipping fee!
