Kelly became intensely interested in personal finance in July of 2008 when she realized her family's finances were on a crash course. She threw herself into learning everything she could about personal finance and eventually started her own blog and business. This allows her to continue to stay at home with her 4 busy kids, but also help contribute to the family's debt reduction. They are paying off debt $1 at a time and plan to be out of debt by January 2012.

Kelly Whalen is the blogger behind the Centsible Life. She has a consulting business, does freelance writing, and community building. When she has spare time she usually sleeps. Kelly has 4 kids, and mostly stays at home with them. You can often find her drinking coffee and typing late at night, and checking her iPhone for emails on the park bench.
