Looking for ways to look good on a budget? Needing some resources for affordable health and beauty products? Over the years I've found help from a couple of gals named Sally. Read on.
Looking good can get expensive. And there are days when looking frumpy and dumpy just won't cut it. Job interview appointments, for example. A couple of resources for those new to budget beauty? Sally's Beauty Supply and Sally Hansen personal care products.
Sally's Beauty Supply
With numerous locations in the States and abroad, this beauty supply chain is accessible to those of us without a cosmetology license. In addition to printable coupons from their web site, you can check out their money saving beauty club program available online and at physical store locations. Apparently, there is a nominal five dollar fee to participate in the savings card program, but discounts are available that basically reimburse the fee through printable savings tickets. Senior citizen and active duty military fee waivers are available, as well as fifteen percent off days if you reach a certain purchase total each month. There are also chances to win free items by reviewing various products online.
A few things I've picked up at Sally's over the years? Pump dispensers for product usage control, miniature emery boards and 4-way buffers for staying groomed while traveling light, spray bottles for homemade leave-in conditioner and salon quality nail products.
Sally Hansen
This brand's been on the market at least since I was old enough to start shopping for affordable grooming products as a teen. Long wearing nail colors, newspaper insert coupons, and good quality tools for manicures and pedicures are all perks I've been able to enjoy over the years. Not only were several high value coupons available for these products in my local Sunday paper recently, you can also find a coupon or two to print out on their web site.

I LOVE affordable beauty tips. Such as: I find that vaseline is a necessity: make-up remover, brow corrector, lip balm/gloss, night-time face mask.
Trevor, the prices on this stuff really can reach outrageous levels. Gabriel, I have a similar feeling about vegetable shortening. (Although not as a face mask with my skin type.)
If those are your nails in the photo, I want to say, they look GREAT! Every bit as great as if done by a professional. I used to only buy very expensive creams in the department stores until I read the book "Don't Go to The Makeup Counter Without Me" (hope it's OK to mention). Amazing how many upscale brands have a drugstore brand with nearly or the same ingredients.
I started looking at Sally after the last time I had my hair dyed the price had gone through the roof. At the same time Trade Secret had raised the price of the hair products we use again.
Their ION brand shampoo and hair products are great. In fact I think they are better than the salon brands I had been using. The bottles were also half the price and twice as big. So that one was a win-win all around.
As we run out of certain things I am going to shift over to similar items from Sally. I could not believe how much cheaper some items are compared to the salon or sometimes even Target.
